Well these were definitely some tough ones to choose from but ultimately went with… Newcomer: Razorback. Remake: Lizard. New costume: Zemo. Re-Release: 20th Cap. Villain: Zemo. Female: Spiral. Spider Person: Black Suit Spidey. X-Men: Mojo.

Unless they put out a Reaper buck 2.0 or something, they should just give Surfer the Vulcan buck, imo. It is practically the same size as the reaper mold + has butterflies + the body just looks better. Giving it some longer shins/boots that would add more height for certain characters, like Silver Surfer, would be nice.

Oof, they should’ve upgraded Firestar’s head sculpts while they were at it. She and Iceman just do not look that good. I’d have loved to get that Spidey though.

Agreed. Regardless of having to finish the deco on him myself, he still takes a spot on my overall top 10 of the year.

I’ve never gotten into the Gen X stuff so I’m of no help there. But for the Imperial Guard, I’d say Warstar as that’s the only other one left that I’d care to get.

- Wanna see more meticulosity with the classics. Enough phoning them in. - Use of metallic yellow instead of ugly gold. - More facial expressions for heroes besides stoic. Some battle cries, gritted teeth, etc. Especially repetitive characters. - More obscure, classic Avengers/Defenders made. - Different size bodies similar to Vulcan buck. Shorter and taller. - another villain wave in the works. - Ultimate Riders brought back. - Knock out some more classic Iron Man armors. - Finish up the teams that have like 1 or 2 members left. - No more Kate Bishop legs ever. - Quit giving fireballs to characters that shouldn’t have fireballs.

Dang I had only went to take a peek at what the prices looked like on Pulse and Rogue was already sold out. 🫣 Edit: Oh nvm she is back up. Hmm what to do, what to do 🤔. Meh, I can wait.

Hah if they give the classic green version 2 heads, watch the chops be on the screaming head and not the other + also have different skin/hair paint than the blue version’s 😄 Anyway, I have nearly zero interest in the 3-packs. The ladies look excellent imo but I’m just not liking the guys enough. Forge’s head doesn’t look very Jim Lee inspired. And this high-riding thigh band they all share just won’t—stop—bugging me! If that was done all for the sake of hiding the thigh cut then why didn’t they do that to the women? Or was it so they didn’t have to make new thighs for Wolverine? Are his hips the same piece as theirs? Whatever, I dunno. If these sets ever see a significant price drop, I might reconsider picking them up. But until then, they remain a hard pass in my book.

So for me, that just translates to “wait for a sale/promo.”

Mmhm agreed. Like I said a page or 2 back, this is such a missed opportunity. I would’ve gotten 2 of these if he had been on the Wolverine buck. Just another one of those figures you look at and wonder wth they were thinking. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this is one of their dirty little games being played here, like they tend to do from time to time. I definitely wanna see Wolverine happen in the Fang suit still. Maybe for good measure, they’d include a Fang head with a stoic expression or something.

Outback Rogue, baby let’s goooo! 🙂 Now to continue the waiting game for Colossus, Psylocke, Storm and hopefully Havok in his classic deco. Blob looks good. He kinda reminds me of a Garbage Pail Kid though. Fang is a missed opportunity — maybe they’ll give this costume to one of the many Wolverines to release in the future. Super stoked for Corsair and other Starjammers but like @Atlantissaid, they painted his headband the wrong colorrrrgh!🙄 For me, everything else was just a mix of don’t-knows and/or don’t-cares. Would probably get that Chamber guy for the body though.

Best single exclusive: Lizard. took me a minute to choose between him, Zemo and retro IM. Best 2-Pack:. went with Silk & Doc Ock bc that was the only one I was interested in & got. Best Multipack:. Disregarding the price, I chose Mojoworld because the figures and the presentation were just really well done there. Best Fan Channel: Had to go with 20th Cap. I love it & out of bias I’d go on to say that he’s my figure of the year.

Yah I’d say yellow would’ve been the way to go, at least. I’ve just never been a fan of how they tend to throw gold in place of what I think should be yellow. A 3-pack would’ve/could’ve been interesting. Maybe they’ll do that for his investigator look or whatever.

This is my preferred costume so I’m definitely glad to get at least 1. Would like to figure out something to make the gold deco pop some more though.

I think it would be rad if Marvelous News had an annual top 10. 😁Maybe that would invite more folks in? Also, one thing I kinda think would be better are if reveals/products get divided into different threads (perhaps in the Figure Discussion Forum?) instead of discussing a cluster of things in the same thread. Like Daredevil 3-pack should have its own thread; Puff Adder wave should have its own thread; Iron Man retro, et cetera, et cetera. And then just update those threads accordingly with more news or reviews or images that relate. If that makes any sense.

Ah I see what you’re saying now. I don’t believe the list contains all of what’s in store for 2023, nor do I think those 2 are the only exclusives. I just thought you were saying that the leaked list didn’t have any exclusives on it, that’s all. I don’t follow or know anything about rektangular other than what gets shared here at marvelous so I appreciate the insight.

I may have been a little hard on it. Feel like I should’ve expected such from Drax and Mantis as I’ve never really liked their MCU counterparts. It was silly though, that’s for sure. My lady enjoyed it 🤷‍♂️. I think my favorite part was Nebula’s last line.
