  1. I’m really glad I made my own Spot figure a while back. That thing is hideous
  2. Amazon bought MGM a while back, like Sony acquired Columbia. Disney of course got Fox. These companies are just eating each other now
  3. Wow I didn’t think that figure could be made to look bad until now. The original and B&W versions looked great
  4. Honestly, I don’t need anyones forgiveness because I don’t owe any other collector the realization of their toy dreams. Not to mention, that I don’t have the power to stand in your way. The Hellcharger offering came across to me as insulting and greedy and it’s my own values I answer to when I don’t participate or when I speak up about how I feel. If any person was able to influence another not to by this product, I see that only as a reflection that the offering was substandard according to what the market could support. That just economics, baby. My life will be identical whether anyone “forgives” me for that or not. You need to rage and blame? You do you, my fellow fan.
  5. I think it’s a little disingenuous to say “find me the exact same thing for less” because you know no one else has made a flaming charger-type vehicle for a character with a flaming skull. You’ve set impossible goals for your challenge and then sort of belittle or mock people for not achieving them as if you can say “gotcha!” A realistic and honest challenge would be asking for links to something comparable. And the Mattel Batmobile is comparable. It’s for the same size figure. It holds fewer figures but it’s bigger. (And let’s be honest, who are you going to put in the car besides Robbie? Nobody.) Fewer interchangeable parts but more electronic features. Inch for inch about the same amount of detail. It’s overall quality is about the same as the Hellcharger and it gets a boost for being RC. I don’t even really like Batman but if that Batmobile can be made and sold for less than $200 AND placed on shelves, the Hellcharger could be sold for a similar price especially when they know every single one is getting sold via Haslab.
  6. I really do hope Hasbro learns from this. I consider this vehicle worth $200 tops. I saw the light up features at the cons and wasn’t super impressed with the flashing supposed to emulate fire. I’d say drop the flashing option and the risers, maybe even the opening trunk. Replace Madeline with Balckout or Bleackheart (put Maddie in the X-waves where she belongs). Come back with this in six months for two hundo and it’ll sell. Oh and give Big M some decent looking shoes and a monsterous second head while your at it.
  7. Hasn’t it already been shown multiple times that the RC batmobile with 7 in figure, remote cannons and fog machine was both a larger vehicle and priced much cheaper? It’s still on eBay for $200
  8. I love the Legends team, but you always have to take what they say with a grain of salt. Like when they said we’d not get Robbie except as an early bird but we got the alternate head. Or when they said we’d not get any more hints but we get an obvious Madeleine Pryor nod. So when they tell us we’ll never get the stretch figures if we don’t buy the Hellcharger, I have to conclude that we’ll get this essential X-villain at some point even if the community continues to conclude that this was a badly handled Haslab
  9. Maybe the stretch goals could be some GR villains. There’s aren’t really any for your display beyond Blackheart unless you use the Select Mephisto or maybe the movie Scarecrow. Wasn’t there some hint we could get Orb? He’s got a motorcycle too. That would rock
  10. Ah thanks, i was getting irritated because it’s not showing up in several reports and I read this one too fast
  11. How come no is including the name of that little gremlin character with Thing arms. Every release just ignores him. WTF
  12. That’s a fairly narrow view. Black Panther and Thunderbolt Ross don’t have the same status in the MCU or the MU proper. They’re not JUST “characters”. For one, BP is a headliner. Ross is A supporter. And Chadwick Boseman meant an incredible deal to a ton of people, not the least of which were black communities excited to represented by a major blockbuster character. Your argument that they are comparable is dubious as is supporting statements like ‘no one cared’ that they replaced hulk actors, because some people did have things to say about that. I actually think Boseman SHOULD be replaced because it’s a deprivation to lose the character and I think the actor would want both the story and the representation to continue, but not because of some misplaced idea that the actors are simply interchangeable on these characters.
  13. Well I used to be annoyed at all the redo figures from the Toybiz and early Hasbro days but now I say ‘bring it on’, less for me to burn my cash on.
  14. Wtf. Why is Marvels answer to not knowing what to do with Spidey always New Costume or Combine With Other Character? The Romita “art” was already putting me off with this book. That glider is an abomination.
  15. Why don’t you just go to a matinee in the suburbs when no one is there? Are the staff gonna come down the aisle with a flashlight to check that one dude? They sure don’t at my cinema.
  16. So the answer to my question is that you DONT believe Disney will find an issue with it. Thanks. I think Man-Ape is a super cool character and I love this custom. I made a similar one myself a couple years ago. I’m just saying Disney and Hasbro are going to be painfully aware of the optics on that character and just avoid the classic look.
