  1. I get it. Its a nice option. I really prefer to get ahold of a "clean" version first. This will be my first real black suit Spider-man in 6 inch form and I'm super excited that the blue shading is not there. I have ordered the Mafex version as well, but truly appreciate that this one is just black.
  2. I had a feeling this was going to happen when they raised the price last time. It always felt to me as though the 22.99 price point was temporary to prepare the market for $25 figures. I'm not an advocate, just identifying that the writing was on the wall.
  3. Sure. While I generally agree, I often find myself questioning the veracity of such a notion. I really wonder which one would sell more units if the same figure were available with cell shading and without cell shading, side-by-side, at the same retailer, for the same price. Is it so much that there is a market for cell shaded figures or is it that these characters are popular enough that many shoppers are willing to overlook it? And, I'm not saying that just because I think the non-cell-shaded version would sell more that it is the only one that should be on the market.
  4. I just wish Hasbro would stop with the gimmicks (cell shading, carbonized, etc). I've not seen cell shading done "well" on a physical figure. I find the concept to be fundamentally flawed. I just want the costume to be accurate. I will create the shadows with actual light. Its frustrating because I thought this would be my 90's Wolverine and Jubilee and I'm afraid it will be along time before we see another release of these characters with the 90's look... In an ideal world Hasbro would relegate gimmicky variants to retailer exclusives and stop making desirable mainline figures retailer exclusives.
  5. I have mixed feelings. The first Spider-man game was as good (surprised the hell out of me) as it was thanks to being a Perter Parker story. There were a few irritating side character missions, but nothing too bad. Hopefully Spider-man 2 follows suit, but it doesn't look like it will. Also, I just cant bring myself to believe that Disney will allow a proper Wolverine videogame to be released. I would really like to play through a Logan-centric Wolverine action videogame. I just can't see Disney allowing it to be both cool and released.
  6. I was 100% on both Wolverine and Jubilee, but the cell shading crap is a MAJOR turn off... I may cancel my pre-order
