  1. I put in an order for a Deadpool. Would like to set him up against a McFarlane Deathstroke, just for kicks.
  2. I think if McFarlane got the license I would also be done. For some reason I can stand him doing his thing with the DC Universe, mostly because DC isn't as important to me so when he bones something up I can generally let it go, but I don't think I could accept his approach with Legends. Marvel's just too important to me, I guess. I'm glad Hasbro's going to hold on to things, they've been hitting a pretty good stride for a while now, especially on other characters I never expected to see get made.
  3. So... a Gold Sponsor is just a weird, made-up accolade the industry decided to award themselves over FCBD? Because I can't discern any practical difference between these and other "silver" titles based on what they wrote up here, aside from these just being titles that will probably be popular when they release.
  4. I'm trying to figure out why Cable is 12 feet tall on that cover...
  5. Very true. I was in a store yesterday and came across a Miles, just had to take a moment to stare at how tiny and awkward it looked there in the packaging.
  6. Ugh, guess I'm getting up early tomorrow. I really regret trying to save a few bucks back when these were first released by skipping Rogue and Gambit, but they were so damn close to the previous Target cardback figs, I didn't think I'd miss them. Curse my appreciation for pinlessness.
  7. While I can't claim to "know", I can think of a couple of possible factors. The first is that cloth is easier to design and put out than plastic. With plastic there's a whole background process for tooling that takes time to get right, cloth is a lot more straightforward. Another factor would be man-hours. The Legends team puts out quite a bit more product than Hot Toys does, and while I'm sure they have more people working at Hasbro, time spent per-figure is probably a lot more strained. They're also working with more focused product slots that have to be determined much further in advance. "Hey, what are we putting out for Q4 next year?" when it's still Q3 of the prior year probably comes up a lot. Hot Toys, while much higher quality, probably has less headaches in that department and have the maneuverability that comes with being a much smaller company. These are just some thoughts off the top of my head.
  8. Gambit was back up for pre-order on Entertainment Earth around Halloween. I put in for mine then, but it looks like the page is gone now. Guess maybe they jumped the gun?
  9. Curses. That means it will disappear quickly.
  10. Do we have any idea if this remains a Target exclusive or have they re-thought that and made this a wider release?
  11. One of those extras better be a unique head. I'm getting nervous about that.
  12. Daredevil's the obvious standout for me, but I'm always open to being pleasantly surprised.
  13. Can't say I'd pay 5 bones for it, or really even $400. Galactus warranted the price for me (heck, I bought multiples) because of all the extra figures and such it came with, plus he's freaking Galactus. Fin Fang Foom just isn't as much of a heavy hitter (in terms of character importance) from me. I've gone for every Legends Haslab (except the Engine of Vengeance), but I wouldn't go anywhere near that high for Fin. He'd be cool to have, but I don't love him enough for that price. Same here. Give me some Celestials, I say.
  14. Yeah, that Spot's pretty skippable. I don't care much for the Spider-Verse exaggerated body types.
