Bring on the Bad Guys wave.
I'm late in responding, but than man. Even though I know this wave won't be shipping for months I still like to look at pre-order in anticipation of adding this wave to my collection. It's got some heavy hitters in it.

I stopped into my local Target in upstate NY yesterday and today. No new Shang Chi Legends. The employee that was working did point out that they just re-stocked the Spider-Verse and House of X waves which looked great on the pegs together!

This is a great looking piece and I'm loving Paul Harding's sculpts on these busts. I snagged the Magneto he did several months ago and the dude nailed it!

Am I the only one who wants to finish my Serpent Society?? We need the wimmen!! Annaconda, Mamba, Asp and Diamondback fer sure!!

Please give us the original GAURDIANS Hasbro!!
I'm in full agreement for both teams! I'm happy with the rate they've been releasing the Serpent Society, one member every one-two years, and GOTG from the 90's is one of my favorite teams of all time and I'm hoping against hope we get them sooner rather than later! New Warriors from 1990 too!

Oooh.. I remember the Ultraverse. Fun times! I loved the Ultraforce comic for the hot minute it was around. I know the X-men journeyed to that universe to stop the Phoenix force. I think I still have the action figures in storage.
Nice! Hasbro could use the Monster Venom BAF mold to make a Prime figure as a first foray into the Ultraverse.

The Ultraverse comic brand also had a "Cult" following. Where are they now? Raise your hand if you even remember what it was.
I could be down for a few Ultraverse characters, and since Malibu comics was bought by Marvel years ago they could technically appear in the Legends line. Heck, a few Marvel characters were pulled into their universe during the 90's.

So I read many different Marvel titles. I can assure you that Odin, Heimdall and Balder are far more important to Thor (one of the longest running and most successful Marvel titles ever) than Caliban or the Cuckoos are to X-Men. As a Marvel fan and reader I feel that your dismissals and assertions fail to land. Caliban and the Cuckoos are literally background characters and I can speak to that because I know who they are, unlike you who does not seem to have a grasp of Marvel outside of your preferred titles (and probably only since the last 20 years). Marvel existed long before the 90s cartoons, I promise you.
Also, what does “Cult” following mean exactly? Squirrel Girl, Kamala Khan, America Chavez- they all have these elusive “cult” followings. Yet their titles are cancelled and rebooted over and over again. I’ll tell you what it means, it means their books and figures don’t sell but for other reasons we have to continue to include them.
While I'm all for the Warriors three and the rest of Thor's supporting cast, you can't deny the popularity of the X-Men, especially the 90's run. Caliban was a supporting cast member for years, sometimes as an ally, sometimes as a villain (like the BAF version). The Stepford Cuckoos are popular and help complete the modern version of the team circa 2012. They might not be any interest to you, but they've been on my list.
And for the record, Alpha Flight had it's own series that ran for over a decade so it's easy to see why they would get a boxed set before the Warriors Three. Although I hope we do get a boxed set of Hogun, Volstagg, and Fandral soon.0 -

Marvel Legends Monster Venom BAF Repaint Figure Revealed
If you been following things on our message boards, then you had a pretty good idea that this figure was coming thanks to JTPrime, and now and image has surfaced on social media confirming that Hasbro will be releasing a repainted version of their Monster Venom Build-A-Figure in it's own packaging.
While not 100% confirmed this is likely being released as another "Fan-Channel" exclusive and likely will be going up for pre-order soon. Thanks to Tarot on the heads up for the image.I'm very excited about this figure and the prospect of one fan channel exclusive per month. I think it's a great way to get older BAF's into collector's hands and other repainted figures.

What would make Sunspot look more authentic to you? I mean, given their choice to use this costume, what do you think they could've done better? I definitely would've preferred a New Mutants version too, and this is definitely not my favourite look for Bobby, but I think it looks pretty spot on. And they've definitely been working hard to finish up that Liefield X-Force team, so it can't be that surprising they started here.
While not my favorite costume either (I was hoping for his look from New Mutants #90-99) , the figure does look awesome and the only nit pick I could make is that the hair sculpt looks too long to me. Other than that, great looking fig.
And even though we're getting the same wrist-mounted blast effects recycled ONCE again, kudos to Hasbro for the power effects that plug into his back. It looks very cool.

The Star Wars panel just concluded and waiting for the Transformers one to begin. They had nothing new for SW though not surprising with how little they had at the bigger SDCC. I dont think we will see any new SW until Oct for Force Friday.
Agree. I kind of skipped through the Star Wars live panel in SWInsider.com and just finished watching the Transformers panel on Tformers.com. Looking forward to the Marvel panel!

Colossus/Juggernaut 2 pack came in from Target yesterday, and man is it glorious! Colossus might actually be my favorite offering of the 80th Anniversary sets so far. And the classic deco and new heads on Juggernaut might actually get me to swap out the first BAF.
I am loving this set but the only problem for me is Colossus' left hip is loose right out of the box. How is yours?
And has anyone else this situation with Colossus?

Sorry time differences are messing with me. Star Wars is 3pm ET, Transformers 4pm ET and Marvel 5pm ET
Thanks for the update JayC. I was starting to get antsy that we hadn't seen anything yet.

I'm going to make a prediction that we will be getting a character from X-Men 2099 revealed this weekend. My reasoning is Marvel recently added X-Men 2099 #1 to their free Marvel Comics app, and while they add new books all the time, my instincts tell me this addition is important.
Last year when they revealed Nighthawk, issue #1 of the 1998 Nighthawk mini series was released on the marvel Comics app, and in my opinion X-Men 2099 is too random an issue to release without reason.
We'll find out tomorrow for sure though. Can't wait!

Vast majority are MCU related, this is only the 3rd time in the Toybiz/Hasbro era that a Bronze age classic 70s-80s Ironman figure has been done & they hit a massive HR this time! This is the definitive perfectly scaled classic Ironman. Unless you just collect MCU related figs, I really think you'd be regretting passing up this stellar version of classic comic based Ironman. The 2 pictured were great for their time but a tad on the thin side. The other pic is of the very 1st classic Bronze age Ironman done by Toybiz back in 2003 I believe, again, great for it's time but had Gorilla arms that would not go down to it's sides. They also made stealth versions of both the Toybiz & Hasbro versions as well. But as you can see in the 3rd pic, the new 80th anniv version takes the cake! I can see Hasbro giving us a stealth version of this one as well as this version of him with pointy mask helmet as well.
Great breakdown on the history of the figure and I'm in complete agreement about the 80th being the absolute, hands down, best version. I like the other ones as well and think they're great in their own way, but nothing is touching the 80th Anniversary Iron Man.
Although I would love to see him with the yellow instead of gold armor like the 2 pack figure as featured above
(Sorry, double post)

I hope we see some more original New Warrior figures like perhaps Firestar.
Yes! I have been waiting so patiently for Hasbro to make the New Warriors. Just give me the characters and costumes from the first twenty-five issues.
I'd love to see Marvel Boy with the full masked head plus a masked head with his hair exposed. We'll need Nova's red outfit from issue #1 and his blue/yellow costume. Speedball should come with some bubble effects too.0 -
I think both are great figures on their own merit. And of course the costume differences really skew as to whether you prefer the classic look vs the modern look.

That is my understanding, yeah. you don't know which fig you're getting. Kind of a bizarre way of doing it if you ask me.
I agree. And I believe Best Buy does it the same way? Regardless, I'm tempted to snag some sets and take advantage of the 15% off.

In upstate NY (Saratoga area) I've been making daily toy runs, and even during a trip to PA while visiting family I have been hitting the stores, and able to find all of these figures at Target. Thor and Colossus/Juggernaut were still in the back but the employees were very helpful about locating and fetching them for me.
I've also seen the retro wave at my local GameStop except Storm.

I chose Arcade, Avalanche, Banshee, Deathbird, Firestar, Mesmero, Syrin, and Sunspot.

what I want most from this storm is not the costume but a head sculpt showing off her blue eyes. I mean we always get the powered up head but never one with her blue eyes.
Good call! I'd love to see an alternate head showing her blue eyes.

Quite frankly...I'm just happy for a new COLOSSUS...the X-belt does not bother me a bit. He looks enough like a Byrne/Cockrum version to get a pass to my 70's X-shelf.
I'm in complete agreement, brother! I grew up reading Classic X-Men so this is the perfect Colossus for me. The "X" belt does irritate my OCD a little, but not even close enough for this to be a real problem for me.
With the classic TRU Cyke we got two years ago, the tiger stripe Wolverine from last year, and that we're getting this classic Colossus and Nightcrawler this year, I am so friggin' excited! Now can we please get a Cockrum style Storm?!?!

Marvel Legends X-Men Callisto Figure Revealed
in Marvelous News's General Area
Posted
I don't think the Callisto, Wyngarde, and shirtless Wolverine reveals are a new wave, and will most likely be single release fan channel exclusives like Punisher War Machine, Cowboy Logan, and Agent Venom were in 2019.
