  1. While 2020 has been crazy year all around and there was nothing normal about this year's San Diego Comic Con or lack there of, we thought we would still throw together one of our recaps of all the things we know are coming for Marvel Legends as well as a few things we think we know are coming this year/early next year. So first thing we want to suggest is, take any kind of release date listed here with a grain of salt, even more so than usual. Some things are running late but surprisingly we are seeing many things released much sooner than initially indicated. Things that weren't supposed to be out until the fall like the recent Retro Spider-Man wave and Deadpool Strong Guy Build-A-Figure wave are already hitting shelves now. Normally we try not to cover things in these lists that are already out, but this year that is harder to determine with so much already out overseas. So while some of these things have already started to see a limited release, we thought we would start the list with the X-Men movie stuff. First off we have the Amazon exclusive X-Men movie Logan in wife beater shirt. This figure was initially listed for pre-order back in February, but has yet to be released. It's currently unavailable for pre-order or purchase on the Amazon website. Next up we have the X-Men movie Professor X and Magneto 2-pack which features headsculpts for both the young and old versions of the characters. They are joined by a second X-Men movie Logan figure, this time featuring the character with a brown leather jacket. and Mystique from the first X-Men movie. These are available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com and should be released everywhere later this month. Joining the X-Men movie figures are several figures from the second Deadpool movie. First up is the Walmart exclusive Cable figure which includes teddy bear. Cable is due out in October. The pre-order for the figure is currently sold out on Walmart's website. For regular releases, Hasbro is doing a 2-pack with Deadpool himself along with Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Joining them is a single release of Domino. These three figures are also listed with an October release date and available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. I should note all the Deadpool 2 movie figures including Cable have been seeing release overseas already as well as some of the X-Men movie ones. Rounding out the X-Men movie figures is what would have been a San Diego Comic Con exclusive for this year. It's a 2-pack featuring Logan and Professor X from the Logan movie. This set will go up for pre-order at some point on the HasbroPulse website and be available in September. Hasbro had also planned a second SDCC exclusive this year with the Hellfire Club boxset. This set includes figures of Donald Pierce, Jean Grey Black Queen with alternae Selene head, Sebastian Shaw, and Emma Frost. Like the Logan boxset, this one will be available for pre-order at some point on the HasbroPulse website and be available in September. Next up is the Old Man Logan and Hawkeye 2-Pack with Baby Hulk. The Hawkeye figure will feature Hasbro's new pin-less technology that they first announced during Toy Fair back in February. This set is being released October and is available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. For other two-packs, look for one with a new figure of Legacy Rogue and Pyro. This will be out by end of year and is also available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. A new Classic Storm and Thunderbird two-pack is coming to Target stores on October 4. The pre-order for this figure is currently sold out. Storm like the Old Man Hawkeye figure will feature the new pin-less technology. Amazon is getting a new 3-Pack featuring Psylocke, Nimrod, & Fantomex . This set is up for pre-order now and slated with a November 1 release date. For you Punisher fans, Hasbro is releasing a new rider series set featuring Frank Castle on a black motorcycle. Besides some cool weapons, you also get the viking helmet based on the 5-issue limited Marvel Comic series called Punisher Kill Krew. This is due out in September and available from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. On Haslab now is the new 26.3-inch tall Sentinel figure with 6" Bastion. Bastion also comes with an alternate Sentinel Prime headsculpt. As I type this, the crowd-sourcing campaign has 20 days left and has 12,640 backers. The initial goal was 6k. Since the campaign started, several add-ons have been included to the project. You now get two 18-inch Sentinel “bendy wire tentacle” accessories, alternate battle damaged head and hand, alternate Master Mold head and female 6" Sentinel Prime figure. It's unknown if any more additions will be made to the project before it ends this month. Back during Toy Fair Hasbro launched a Fan-Vote where people could choose from one of the three choices that included new figures of Silk, Lady Sif and Elektra. The winner was originally supposed to have been announced and released at SDCC this year. Since Comic-Con didn't happen, Hasbro has now said the results of the fan poll and presumably the winning figure itself will be made available sometime this Fall. For Fan-Channel releases, we can look for an updated Kingpin figure released on Retro cardback. This figure is due out in November and available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Mysterio is also getting a similar treatment with the retro cardback. It will be out in October. It to is up for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. A new Deluxe Toxin figure is also coming in November. You can pre-order it now at our our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Another Walmart exclusive coming from Hasbro this year is the Venomized Captain America figure. It's due out in September, and the pre-order for the figure is sold out on the Walmart website. So that is it for everything we know 100% about, but there are a few other things we have a pretty good idea are in the works. First we know a Venom themed wave is due out later this year. This wave will likely include among others, the Venomized Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales Spider-Man figures that were first shown at Toy Fair back in February. We also know there was an Eternals themed wave originally planned to be released this year. Hasbro has said that wave was pushed back to 2021 since the Eternals movie release was delayed due to Covid. There is the yellow glove Hasbro teased in their last live-stream video. The going theory is that this will be for a new Rogue figure. Just speculating, but I envision this being an updated Jim Lee style figure with new headsculpt and new alternate hands. Possibly included in some kind of 2-pack with a new Gambit figure. There was also the second tease Hasbro made in that video that leads me to believe some kind of Stilt-Man figure is coming, possibly a Build-A-figure for a future Spider-Man wave. Then there is the long-rumored Walgreens exclusive Silver Centurion Iron Man figure we are still awaiting confirmation on. And the HasbroPulse exclusive Hellfire Club Goon army builder figure we have recently seen strong indications for coming. And finally two other Fan-Channel exclusives we have seen listed by various overseas distributor sites Marvel Legends Eternals Villian Deluxe Figure F05755L0 EAN:5010993749713 Marvel Legends Vintage F4 Redeco E96275L0 (Our best guess is this will be the Dr. Doom figure in white we had previously seen rumors for) So that's it for now. I know there a few other rumors that have been floating around the net since Toy Fair, but we will leave it at these for now. Since Hasbro didn't actually do anything special for SDCC this year, we do expect they will continue to do video stream reveals for Marvel Legends on a semi regular basis throughout the year. They will also continue to do reveals on the first Monday of every month. We will of course update you all on those as they happen. Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION below what your most looking forward to in the coming days?
  2. Overseas reader Cookie Huang sends us these in-hand images of the new 6" Marvel Legends Deadpool 2 movie Domino figure from Hasbro. He also put together this video review of the figure. This figure is available for pre-order from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.

  4. Hasbro has officially revealed the new Fan-Channel exclusive X-Men Marvel Legends 2-pack with Legacy Rogue which we first saw back during Toy Fair and a new Pyro figure. This figure is available for pre-order at places like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Check out the new images below. Rouge comes with 2 headsculpts, and an extra set of hands. Pyro comes with 2 headsculpts and flame effects. Look for this set to be out later this year.
  5. Toy Biz was the first company to really successfully implement the Build-A-Figure concept with their 6” Marvel Legends line, where pieces of a larger character based figure would be included with a number of individually packaged normal sized figures. The idea was two-fold. It gave people more incentive to purchase all the figures in a wave so they could complete the larger figure, hence increasing sales for a company. It also allowed larger based characters to be released, that might not otherwise be feasible to do because of packaging restraints, allocated retail shelf space and price. In the beginning we were treated to building sized characters such as Galactus, Giant Apocalypse and the Sentinels. Overtime the Build-A-Figures were shrunk down so they were usually still larger than a regular figures, but not super big. We got the likes Onslaught, Modok, Mojo and many others. The Build-A-Figure concept became so popular and successful, that many other toy companies started implementing similar type figures in their own action figure lines. In recent years however, we have started to see a new trend emerge from Hasbro, who of course took over Marvel Legends and the Build-A-Figure concept from Toy Biz years ago. More and more we are seeing the Build-A-Figure being reissued, completely assembled and in it’s own packaging. These figures are usually sold as a more expensive deluxe figures. Some of of these deluxe figures are primarily just re-paints, while others incorporate more sculpting modifications, which allow them to offered as an almost completely new figures. This new trend of course has been received with mixed reactions from the collectors. Some view it as an easier way to obtain the larger characters, since they no longer need to buy the individual figures in a wave. Others who purchased the full waves in order to complete the Build-A-Figure, feel a bit taken advantage of with Hasbro now re-releasing them individually, especially the ones with only slight modifications. Some argue that Hasbro should do away with the Build-A-Figure completely, and just release the larger characters as deluxe figures. The downside too that is, Hasbro would likely see a decline in sales for certain individual characters released in a wave, especially those more obscure characters that many aren’t as familiar with. Hence making it less likely they will continue to release those more obscure guys. Even the variety of larger scale characters might become more limited, as retailers would likely only want to carry the well known characters. While it can sometimes be a pain to buy a figure you really don’t want, in order to complete that Build-A-Figure you do want, I think the pro’s of the concept still out weight the con’s of it. As for the deluxe figures, I think its better when the figure has significant modifications to it, but even in the case of the recently announced Kingpin repaint that only has slight modifications to it, I like we are getting a second one so we can use one of the bodies with the Shadow King head sculpt that Hasbro released with the Professor X figure. Now we get to have both Kingpin and Shadow King on our shelves without having to purchase two Build-A-Figures. Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION. Should Hasbro continue with Build-A-Figures, go with just deluxe figures or continue to do both?
  6. Earlier this year Hasbro had said that they would be doing one of their HasbroPulse $14.99 Marvel Legends Army Builder figures that was a brand new figure, not just a re-issue of a previous army builder that they had done. In light of the recently announced Hellfire Club boxset, the Hellfire Club Goon seemed like a good bet for this treatment. Well now the folks at Yakface have dug up a computer listing showing in fact that is what the next HasbroPulse army builder will be, the Hellfire Club Goon. Like with the other HasbroPulse army builder figures done, this should come in a cardboard mailer box with some artwork of the character on it. We will treat this as rumor until Hasbro officially confirms it, but you can check out Yakface's findings below.
  7. Ryan, Dan & Dwight from Hasbro's Marvel brand team are back with another live-stream event. We will be covering the event here live as things are announced. Hasbro has not been allowing websites to embed these videos as of late so we will add a link for you to watch it when it begins. Refresh regularly to see images and details for what they show. Link to video They start off talking about the Haslab Sentinel and their thanks to fans for funding it so quickly. Hasbro has locked in UK, Mexico and Australia retailers who will be offering the Sentinel to folks outside the US. As previously reported a second tentacle has been added to the Sentinel as a thank you. Now on to the new news.... They are going over the new Deadpool 2 figures which we saw the images for leaked out yesterday. Also talking about the Old Man Logan and Hawkeye 2-Pack. All these go up for pre-order in the next hour. Hawkeye has the pinless technology. They are announcing the Nimrod 3-pack which is exclusive to Amazon and be up for pre-order today. The announced the Target exclusive Thunderbird and Storm 2-pack The SDCC Exclusives will be up for pre-order on Hasbropluse at a later date and be available in September. For X-Men Movie its a Logan Movie with Logan and Prof X. Logan comes with alternate blood covered claws. The X-Men movie wheel chair doesnt have the X on the wheels because they wanted it reuse it with this set. The second SDCC exclusive is the Hellfire Club boxset. Includes Donald Pierce, Jean Grey Black Queen with alternae Selene head, Shaw, and Emma Frost. Shaw and Pierce use parts from the Captain Marvel movie Nick Fury figure. Emma has an extra pair of hands not shown in these images. Packaging is very nicely designed. As a tease for a future item Dwight held up a yellow glove of some kind. See below. Then it looks like they pretended to not realize they were still airing and showed another weird looking item. Two silver pieces that connect together.

  10. In the Fan first Tuesday they teased a rogue figure hand holding her glove, a lot of people are speculating that it’s going to be a animated series variant so I decided to do a quick color swap of the existing figure
  11. This coming Tuesday we expect Hasbro to finally give us all the details on their two 2020 SDCC Exclusive Marvel Legends items which are expected to be X-Men comic and X-Men movie based. Rumors suggest the comic based on will have something to do with the Hellfire Club. Since the actual San Diego Comic Con itself has been canceled, at least the physical version, many have been wondering how or where they will be able to get their hands on Hasbro's exclusives this year. Well Walmart has launched a Comic-Con exclusive section on their website which features a countdown clock showing just over 4 days until launch (As I post this). This section appears to be an area comprised of various 2020 SDCC exclusives Walmart will be selling this year from various companies. While no actual product for Hasbro is yet listed, there is this banner on display there that has logos for several Hasbro brands including Marvel Legends. While it seems like a good bet Walmart will be a place to get Hasbro's exclusives, it's not clear if all of Hasbro's exclusives will be offered through Walmart or if Walmart is the only place people will be able to get them. It also isn't clear if any of these exclusives will be available at physical stores or just online. All those details I am sure will be made available on Tuesday.

  15. I almost forgot to post about these since Hasbro didn't even mention them during their Toy Fair presentation, and they were tucked away in the back with the kids stuff of the showroom. It was really just luck I kinda stumbled upon them. For those interested in 4" scale, it looks like Hasbro is going to release a wave of Avengers video game based figures. Definitely not classic Marvel Universe caliber, but I would say on par with the likes of the new Spin Master DC figures. They will come packaged in Gamerverse window boxes. There is also a Captain America and A Hulk/Abomination 2-pack I must of missed taking pictures of. My initial reaction when I saw them was that I wasn't terribly impressed. Looking at them here, some do look better than I initially thought. Still this seems more geared for the kids than anything.
