We've previously told you how the next X-Men themed wave of Marvel Legends figures coming later this year from Hasbro should include another round of characters from the classic Marvel Comics storyline called Age Of Apocalypse. As you may recall the first wave Hasbro did for this which saw release last year included figures of Wild Child, Dark Beast, Jean Grey, Morph, Nate Grey (XMan), Sunfire and Weapon X. The Build-A-Figure for the wave was Sugar Man. Hasbro also released a stand-alone Deluxe Apocalypse figure as well. So who from the Age Of Apocalypse is going to be in the second wave? All we really know at this point is the wave will include 7 figures and 1 Build-A-Figure. They wave should be out late summer or early fall. F1005 – Assortment UPC: 5010993840021 • F1006 – 5010993839636 • F1007 – 5010993839605 • F1008 – 5010993839599 • F1009 – 5010993839582 • F1010 - 5010993839629 • F1011 - 5010993839612 • F1091 – 5010993839643 Since we don't yet know any of the specific figures in this wave, we thought it would be fun to speculate on possible candidates we would like to see included. NOTE these are purely guesses based on figures we would like to see and should not be considered anything more than that. We do however welcome you to share your own thoughts in the COMMENTS SECTION below letting us know which figures you want included in the wave. Ok so lets start off with the most obvious choice for this wave which is Sabretooth. We got his partner Wild Child in the first wave, so I would be amazed if Hasbro doesn't do this one for the second wave. Sabretooth Next up as being a logical choice is Magneto. In the Age of Apocalypse storyline, Magneto essentially assumed to role left vacant by Professor X who was killed in this reality. It would also be an easy figure for Hasbro to do making slight adjustments to the last red costume Magneto they gave us. Magneto Where Magneto goes Rogue should follow. Since we only got one female figure in the first wave I am thinking we might see the same for the second wave. Rogue Of course after Rogue, I can't help think of Gambit. Back in the day Toy Biz gave us non-Marvel Legends figures of both Rogue and Gambit from Age Of Apocalypse in a 2-Pack. Gambit One I personally would really like to see is Iceman with all the jagged ice sculpting he sported during Age of Apocalypse. Iceman While I don't know how likely it is that they would do him, I think one that would go over well with many fans is Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler Honestly to keep it realistic for this last one I feel I should come up with some version of Wolverine they could do. Maybe a bald version of the one we got in the first wave. Instead I am going to go with another one I would like to see which is Quicksilver. Quicksilver So that's it for my guesses of the regular figures in the wave, but what about the Build-A-Figure? The two most obvious choices to me would be either Colossus or Nemesis. We got a Nemesis Build-A-Figure years ago from Hasbro, but he seemed like a popular choice when people were trying to guess what the BAF in the first wave was going to be. Still for me personally I think I would rather see Colossus. Nemesis Build-A-Figure or Colossus Build-A-Figure So that's it. Like I said before, these are all just GUESSES, but it will be interesting to see how many I get right when Hasbro gets around to officially revealing these. Let us know in the comments which characters from Age of Apocalypse you want to see in figure form?

Back in August 2019 Hasbro announced a company wide initiative to remove plastic from all of their toy packaging by the end of 2022. For many of their products this likely won't be that difficult to do, however when it comes to the world of collectible action figures like say Marvel Legends, that isn't as easy as it sounds. You see many, at least those who still do their primary figure buying at physical stores, as opposed to online want to be able to see the figures they buy before handing their cash over. This is for a number of reasons. One is so they can pick the figure with the best paint applications, since all figures aren't created equally when they ship from the overseas factories. Another reason people want to see the figure they are buying is to make sure it's the actual one listed on the packaging. You see an all to common problem that has developed in the hobby is the act of figure swapping. This is when someone decides to switch out an old figure with the new one and then put it back on the pegs. Usually these people will buy the figure, go home switch out the new figure with an old one and then take it back as a return. The stores who have know idea what the actual figure in the box should be take it, and then eventually put it back on their shelves to be resold. If one can't see the figure inside the packaging, then they have no way of knowing if a figure swapper has gotten to before they have. Recently Hasbro has been selling army builder Marvel Legends figures which are sold exclusively online. These figures come in a unique closed box that features nice artwork on the outside. This packaging is totally comprised of cardboard, and has no plastic on it. The boxes are smaller than regular Marvel Legends packaging and the figures cost about $5 cheaper. So is this something Hasbro could switch the entire line over to? Dan Yun from the Hasbro Marvel brand team poses a question not to long ago on social media asking what people thought about the closed box troop builder packages... Was this just a random question Dan posed because he was bored, or was he trying to do some research, getting customer feeback about the new packaging? Most of the responses he got seemed to totally ignore the packaging aspect of his question, as people instead honed in on the troop builder aspect of it. Still this got me wondering, could they be considering this style of packaging for the entire Marvel Legends line? Is it at all practical for a mass retail produced action figure line? For myself, I have no problem if they went to a closed box style for their action figures. I think modifications would need to be made to make it more difficult to take the figure out of the box and put a different one back in, but otherwise I would be fine with it. Of course I do most of my figure shopping online these days, and I open all my figures, so packaging to me is just something that goes into the garbage. Since Dan didn't seem to get many responses about the actual packaging, I thought I would pose the question here for you all. Do you like the closed box packaging, and would it be practical for a line like Marvel Legends at mass retail? If not, then how do you think they can live up to the company mandate of no plastic in their packages by 2022? Let us know your thoughts on this in the COMMENT SECTION below.

In a tale of what could have been, toy designer David Vonner who has previously worked at both Hasbro and Mattel recently revealed that years ago he purposed an idea of doing a Marvel, DC, Hasbro, Mattel SDCC collaboration where a action figure boxset would be created based on the classic 1982 Chris Claremont The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans comic book which was done as a cross-company publication between Marvel and DC Comics. Dave didn't specify which company he was working for when he purposed the idea or for what scale, 6" or 4". He said the idea was to do the boxset as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive with all proceeds going to charity. He said the idea was shot down without blinking an eye, so its probably safe to say there was never much of a chance for this becoming a reality. Still I think most collectors of both DC and Marvel figures would have been pretty excited if such a thing every materialized. What do you think, is this something you would have bought?

Today Hasbro held a virtual Investor Day Panel where they talked about how they would be expanding their product licensing partnership with Epic Games for Fortnite. Previously Hasbro had done Fortnite products for their NERF and Monopoly lines. Then a few weeks ago Hasbro announced a 6" G.I. Joe Classified Snake-Eye figure based on how the the character will appear in the game. Yes you can play G.I. Joe characters now in Fortnite. The Snake-Eyes Fortnite figure was sold as a HasbroPulse exclusive and sold out fairly quickly. Now if you didn't know, Marvel characters have also been in the Fortnite game. So after today's announcement about Hasbro expanding their partnership with Epic Games, I couldn't help but noticing a tweet made by Hasbro Marvel brand team member Dan Yun who was responding to a GameInformer article that was speculating in light of today's announcement we might be seeing more figures from Hasbro similar to the Snake-Eyes one. It's entirely possible this was Dan simply indicating this is something he would like to see. He captioned the animation with the word "dreamz" , but it's not unreasonable to think that Fortnite Marvel Legends based Marvel figures could be something at least being contemplated at Hasbro. It's not clear how much of an expansion the agreement between Epic Games and Hasbro will entail. Currently other companies such as Jazwares and McFarlane Toys have been doing 4", 6" and 7" figures based on the actual Fortnite characters, and there was nothing said today indicating that will be changing, at least for now. However would you be interested in seeing Marvel Legends 6" figures from Hasbro based on the Marvel characters and how they look in the Fortnite video game? Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION

We have seen Hasbro hint more than once that next month will be a sizable month for new Marvel Legends. In their last live-stream they first suggested this and then today Dan Yun from the Marvel Legends brand team tweeted saying: From what I can tell, folks will want to mark their calendars for Friday, April 9, 2021. Hasbro has yet to make any kind of official announcements for that day, but it looks like its going to be a big day of reveals not just for Marvel Legends, but other Hasbro brands as well. I don't know if Hasbro is planning another PulseCon type of event or just simply do a string of live-stream videos all on one day. I suspect the later, but we will have to wait and see. As for what we might see for Marvel Legends, well I am only guessing but I think we will see the rumored Disney Infinity Saga sub-line officially revealed. We may also see the rumored Iron Man themed wave and the Disney+ waves fully revealed as well. I wouldn't be surprised if we get to see the Wanda figure from that wave revealed next week after the WandaVision season finale airs this Friday, like we did with Vision this week. Those are just things off the top of my head I think we might see, there certainly other things as well they might show. I suspect March will be fairly quit on the official reveal front, but April I think will bring us the types of reveals we normally see in February during Toy Fair which didn't happen this year due to COVID.

JTPrime is back again to let us know he has discovered some new retail listings for the following Marvel Legends Doctor Strange based replica items. The listings are as follows: MVL Legends Doctor strange Gear Eye Agamotto (Presumably MCU based) Product Number: F0221 MSRP: 69.99 Euros SPD Legends classic Gear (Possibly comic based) Product Number: F0201 MSRP: 134.99 Euros The first listing seems pretty obvious, as it will be a replica of Strange's Eye of Agamotto as seen in the movies. It will likely open to reveal the time stone and light up green. The second listing is less obvious and seems to cost more. I wonder if this will end up being a replica of Strange's cape? Only time will tell. Of course until Hasbro officially confirms these we will treat them as RUMOR.

Marvel Legends 2021 - What We Know And What We Think We Know Is Coming So Far In The New Year Figures Jay Cochran - January 02, 2021 [ edit post ] With 2020 now in the rear-view mirror, and a whole slew of new Marvel Legends products coming in 2021, I thought now was as good as any time to do an updated "What We Know, And What We Think We Know" segment. In these segments I try to recap all the reported confirmed and unconfirmed rumors of Marvel Legends product Hasbro will be releasing in the coming months. Before we get to the recap, I do want to note that it looks like the next "official" Hasbro Marvel Legends reveal will becoming on Monday, January 11. Normally there is a new Marvel Legends reveal made on the first Monday of each month, but from what I can tell for January, that has been pushed to the second Monday of the month, likely due to the recent Holidays and people being off. I am not able to tell you what the reveal on the 11th will be, but I do believe a clue for it can be found in the "Happy New Years" image above. And it's not anything mentioned down below. Ok so lets start off going over everything that has yet to be released, but has been "OFFICIALLY" confirmed by Hasbro. Truthfully this is the smaller portion of the article, since recently by the time Hasbro gets around to announcing it, it starts seeing release. Things like the Spider-Man Stiltman BAF wave, Deluxe Thanos and Firestar figures that Hasbro only announced a short time ago have already started showing up. Hell you may recall that the Avengers Mr. Fixit BAF wave started hitting shelves a week after Hasbro announced it. The two most recent items to show up are the Firestar and Deluxe Thanos figures. You can check out our first review of Firestar HERE. And our first review of the new Deluxe Thanos HERE. So probably the next thing we can expect to start showing up is the newly announced X-Men House Of X Tri-Sentinel wave. This wave includes figures based on the House Of X/Power of X Marvel Comics story-line. The figures in the wave are as follows: Professor X figure -Pair of alternate hands -Alternate head sculpt -BAF Piece Cyclops figure -Alternate head sculpt -Blast effect -BAF Piece Magneto figure -2 Pairs of alternate hands -BAF Piece Jean Grey figure -Pair of alternate hands -Krakoan flower pod -BAF Piece Moira MacTaggert figure -Pair of alternate arms -Alternate head sculpt -Book -Scarf -BAF Piece Omega Sentinel figure -Alternate head sculpt -Pair of alternate forearms -BAF Piece Wolverine figure -Alternate head sculpt The Build-A-Figure is the Tri-Sentinel. You can pre-order these now from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Hasbro has also confirmed that they will be releasing a Marvel Legends 6" Mega Deluxe M.O.D.O.K. figure that will cost $50. This is the most expensive Deluxe figure Hasbro has done to date. This one is also available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. For exclusives we know that there will be a new Deadpool 2 Movie burned version coming to Amazon in March. You can still pre-order that one through our Amazon affiliate link. Walgreens in the US and EB Games in Canada will be getting a new Fallen Silver Surfer figure coming in early Spring. That one has yet to go up for pre-order. Hasbro also revealed that the theme for this years Walgreens exclusives would be a "Cosmic" one. Following the Silver Surfer will be a new Classic NOVA figure. What follows NOVA remains unknown at this time. Beyond that, Hasbro has given us a few hints/teases for whats to come. We know there will be a new sculpted figure that will have a tail coming. My GUESS for that is an updated Tigra figure, but I really have absolutely no idea on that one. Since they specifically used the words newly sculpted figure in their clue, that suggests to me that this will be a new updated figure of one already released as opposed to a figure of a character never released before. Hasbro also told us that we will be seeing a Cannonball figure with legs in 2021. It's unknown if this will be the same X-Force figure we just got, only with legs as opposed to the blast-off effect, or something else entirely. Maybe a New Mutants version??? Hasbro also revealed that we will be getting a new Classic Ultron figure sometime in 2021. I will be talking more about that one down below in the RUMOR portion of the article. Finally Hasbro has confirmed that they are doing an all-villains "Bring On The Bad Guys" wave this year. The three figures officially confirmed for this wave include Arcade, Dormammu and A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme. Ok so that brings us to the UNOFFICIAL RUMOR portion of the article. Nothing beyond this point has been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED by Hasbro. That being said, I personally feel pretty confident in these rumors being legit, otherwise I wouldn't be presenting them to you. Still as I always say, until Hasbro does officially confirm this stuff, well you know. So lets start things off by going back to that Classic Ultron figure we know is coming. While Hasbro didn't tell us how or where it would be released, my info suggests it will be part of a new Iron Man themed wave. The Build-A-Figure for the wave is not known at this time, but the regular figures in the wave look to include the following: - Classic Ultron - Darkstar (Unknown if this will feature her classic look or a more modern one) - Iron Man Modular Armor - Iron Heart - Guardsman (My info was not clear if this will be just a regular classic Guardsman or possibly a more specific version like maybe Curtis Elkins who was part of The Jury. Granted the Sentry version would seemingly be more fitting for a Venom themed wave, but we will have to see.) Hologram - (The assumption is that this will be an Iron Man figure, possibly the more modern Model 68 version.) Iron Man Stealth - (There have been several versions of the Stealth Armor featured in the comics over the years, and I have no idea which specific one the figure will actually be based on. My best guess would be that they will repaint the recent Alex Ross Iron Man figure with stealth colors, but we will have to wait and see.) Lets also finish up what I think will be the remaining three figures in the Bring On The Bad Guys wave. Again the Build-A-Figure is unknown, but the regular figures in the wave look to include Arcade, Dormammu, A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme, Hydra Supreme, Lady Deathstrike, the Hood and Victor Von Doom. The exact versions we will get for some of these like Hydra Supreme and Victor Von Doom are UNKNOWN. Last year Hasbro released a Retro Fantastic Four Doctor Doom figure as a single release. There should be a full wave of Fantastic Four Retro figures coming in 2021, however I don't have any specific details on what figures will be included at this time. Now on to the Movie and TV stuff, much of which was originally supposed to be released in 2020, but got delayed due to the Pandemic. If you want to AVOID ANY KIND OF MOVIE/TV SPOILERS, then you should STOP reading here. While Hasbro hasn't officially confirmed the figures for the MCU Eternals movie wave, we know what they are, because images of the figures have already leaked out. This wave was originally slated for released this past summer but got pushed when the movie did. The Eternals movie is now slated with a November 5, 2021 release, which means we probably won't officially see these figures on shelves until we get closer to that date. The regular wave of figures which you can check out images of HERE will include the following: - Ikaris who will be played by actor Richard Madden - Sersi who will be played by actress Gemma Chan - Makkari who will be played by actress Lauren Ridloff - Sprite who will be played by actress Lia McHugh - Phastos who will be played by actor Brian Tyree Henry - Kingo who will be played by actor Kumail Nanjiani - Druig who will be played by actor Barry Keoghan The Build-A-Figure will be Gilgamesh. We also know there will be a Deluxe Eternals Kro figure, and some kind of store exclusive single release of Ajak. Hasbro has pretty much said we can expect a wave of figures for the upcoming Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings movie, but hasb't given us any details about what figures we will see in it. Youtuber rektangular first reported, which I have seen additional info to further confirm, the wave will include the following figures: -Shang-Chi -Civil Warrior -Death Dealer -Iron Man -Leiku Wu -Mei Ling Shang-Chi, Leiku Wu and Mei Ling are all speculated to be movie based while the rest will likely be comic based. Once again the Build-A-Figure for the wave is unknown. There should also be at least 1, though likely 2 waves of Disney+ themed Marvel figures coming in 2021. The first wave which we will likely see around June time frame is slated to include the following: - USAgent - Loki - Baron Zemo - Scarlet Witch - Vision - Winter Soldier - Captain America Captain America is likely going to be Falcon, and no word on what the Build-A-Figure will be. Finally while I don't think I have officially reported on these here, I have talked about them briefly on my YouTube channel. For you Avengers MCU fans, look for 2021 to finally give us an MCU version of both Quicksilver from Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Fat Warrior Thor from Avengers: Endgame. It's NOT ENTIRELY CLEAR to me yet, but looks like these two along with other figures will be released as some kind of sub-line that will be an extension of the previous MCU Anniversary line. Stay-tuned in the coming days for more details on this. So that's it for now. Let me know below in the COMMENTS SECTION your thoughts on the Marvel Legends line in general and what new releases are you most looking forward to in 2021?

Last year you may recall Hasbro released as Pulse exclusives some Retro 3.75" Marvel Legends that were based on the concept of "What If" Kenner had done Marvel figures back in the day. The figures themselves have around 5 points of articulation and they come on Retro like cardbacks. Well now Hasbro is releasing more as single carded figures at regular retail. Well they will start off at Target stores in March and then see a more general release in April. Each figure costs $9.99. The figures shown below include Hulk, Human Torch, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Captain America and Magento.

Shown below via Troycollectstoys are in-hand images for the new 6" Marvel Legends Silver Surfer (Fallen One) figure from Hasbro. The figure has started arriving at EBGames in Canada for those who pre-ordered the figure. In Canada the figure is an EBGames exclusive. Here in the US the figure will be released as a Walgreens exclusive, however Walgreens at this time has not made it available for pre-order and no word yet on when it will see release. The SKU# is 758028. The figure is based on "The Fallen One" storyline from the comics. Its a repaint of the previous Silver Surfer Hasbro released a few years ago with a darker metallic silver paint, surf board and also includes a blast effect and Mjolnir which is from the storyline.
