  1. Shown below via LittleToysBiggerWorld are new in-hand images for the S.H. Figuarts Avengers movie Iron Man Mark 6 (Battle Of New York Edition), Captain America (Avengers Assemble Edition) and Thor (Avengers Assemble Edition) figures from Tamashii Nations. You can purchase these figures from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  2. Today I take a look at the new The Falcon And The Winter Solider Marvel Select 7" Sam Wilson Captain America figure from Diamond Select Toys. This figure is being sold as a Disney Store exclusive and is currently sold out online. Check out images for this figure below in our GALLERY and be sure to share your own thoughts about it in the COMMENTS SECTION.
  3. With the final episode of the Disney+ The Falcon And The Winter Soldier series having aired yesterday I thought it would be fun to look at how the action figures based on the show coming from Hasbro and Diamond Select Toys stack up with the actual characters. Note you should wait until you've watched the final episode of the show before reading this article. Also note some of these figures have not yet been officially announced by the companies and we will be referencing figure images that leaked out several weeks ago for some of these. The official reveals for all of these should be coming this Monday (4/26). From Hasbro we have seen a total of 5 figures coming to the Marvel Legends line with John Walker (Captain America), Baron Zemo, Winter Soldier, John Walker (USAgent) and Sam Wilson (Captain America). Out of these 5 figures, 2 have been officially revealed (Zemo, John Walker Captain America), 2 we have seen blurry in-hand images leak out for (Winter Soldier, John Walker USAgent) and one we have yet to see at all (Sam Wilson Captain America). From Diamond Select Toys we have seen images for the one Marvel Select 7" Sam Wilson Captain America figure which will be a Disney Store exclusive. So for Marvel Legends lets first take a look at the John Walker Captain America figure which is being released as a Walmart exclusive. Other than perhaps adding so 5 o'clock shadow to the face I think Hasbro has nailed this figure pretty good with both the masked and unmasked head sculpt. The likeness to actor Wyatt Russell with the unmasked head seems to be pretty dead on. Based on images we are giving Hasbro an A+ on their Marvel Legends John Walker Captain America figure. Next up is the Marvel Legends Baron Zemo figure. It was nice Hasbro gave us both the unmasked and masked headsculpt even though Zemo barley wore the mask in the show. Again Hasbro seems to have nailed the likeness of actor Daniel Brühl with the unmasked headsculpt. Based on images we are also giving Hasbro and A+ for this one. So for the next two, we only have these blurry images and while I doubt it, I suppose it's possible the final released versions could change from what is shown here. For now we will say these grades are tentative and if we see something better when official images are released on Monday, we will re-access these grades then. So first we have the Marvel Legends Winter Soldier. Overall a pretty basic figure but it seems to be a nice update to the previous Winter Soldier figures we have gotten. The quality of the image makes it hard to say for certain how good the likeness is, but for now I am going to give this one an A. For the final Marvel Legend figure we have seen, we have John Walker USAgent. Sadly this is by far the weakest figure in the line as it appears all they did was just repaint their Captain America version black. They didn't include the white stripes on his chest and they still have the star on his helmet. The symbol on his chest may be inaccurate as well but I can't say for sure. I can't fault the figure for not having a shield since they didn't show him with a shield as USAgent in the show. This is the one I hope will look different when we see the official images on Monday, but again I doubt it. My guess Hasbro had to base this one on concept art and not the final version. Customizes I am sure will have a pretty easy time making this one look more show accurate, and since I doubt this is the last time we will see USAgent in the MCU, I am sure Hasbro will get another crack at him at some point. Based on this image I am giving this one a D. Again we have not yet seen any images for the Marvel Legends Sam Wilson Captain America, so we will have to wait until Monday to grade that one. We know the Build-A-Item for the Disney+ wave these figures will be part of are Sam's wings. So I hope Hasbro makes them very show accurate and includes features like a detachable Red Wing, retractable wings and the ability to attach the shield on his back. Hasbro dropped the ball on the comic book version of Sam Wilson as Captain America when they didn't even bother to include wings, so hopefully this figure will more than make up for that. Now while we haven't yet seen the Hasbro version of Sam Wilson as Captain America, we have seen the 7" Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select one. Again this one will be sold as a Disney Store exclusive. My guess it will be officially revealed through Marvel on Monday, but I don't know if it will go up for pre-order then or not. Overall not a bad looking figure. DST's seems to have captured the likeness of Anthony Mackie and his new Captain America costume. The figure doesn't seem to have much for features and accessories though. Based on images it does not appear they included a detachable Red Wing or gave the shield the ability to be stored on the figures back. The wings however do appear to be detachable For now based on the images we've seen I am giving this one a B. So which Falcon And The Winter Sold... or is it Captain America And The Winter Soldier figures are you most looking forward to? Also be sure to check back Monday afternoon for better looks at all of these figures.

  5. The 80th anniversary of Captain America will also mark the end of one of the character’s most groundbreaking chapters. June’s CAPTAIN AMERICA #30 will be the final issue of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ redefining work on the title. Joined by artist Leonard Kirk, CAPTAIN AMERICA #30 will provide the climactic conclusion to the “All Die Young” story arc and prepare the Star-Spangled Avenger for his next era. Since taking over the ongoing adventures of Steve Rogers, Coates has provided readers with a thought-provoking examination about what it means to be Captain America and introduced new elements of the Captain America mythos such as the Daughters of Liberty and the villainous Power Elite. The acclaimed author’s run began with Captain America on the run as the most wanted man in America but will end with him restoring his honor in an epic fight to the finish with the Red Skull. “After a stellar two and a half year run, Ta-Nehisi is bringing his tenure on CAPTAIN AMERICA to a close, with an epic finale to the story that he’s been building all throughout his time on the title,” Executive Editor Tom Brevoort said. “And Leonard Kirk is providing some epic artwork—it’s going to be a climax to remember!” Check out the cover by industry legend Alex Ross below and don’t miss the finale of Ta-Nahisi Coates’ blockbuster run when CAPTAIN AMERICA #30 hits stands on June 16th. 6. Steve Rogers. John Walker. Bucky Barnes. Sam Wilson. In honor of the iconic hero’s 80th anniversary, these four heroes who have taken up the mantle of Captain America will team up this June in a brand-new limited series THE UNITED STATES OF CAPTAIN AMERICA. Written by Christopher Cantwell (Iron Man) with art by Dale Eaglesham (Fantastic Four), THE UNITED STATES OF CAPTAIN AMERICA will celebrate the character’s incredible legacy by bringing together various Captains America from throughout the years for a grand adventure to find Captain America’s missing shield and solve the mystery of his masked thief’s plan. Along the way, fans will be introduced to fascinating new heroes who have been inspired to follow in Steve Roger’s footsteps. Joining Cantwell and Eaglesham will be an all-star lineup of diverse and extraordinary creative teams who will dive even deeper into the origins and motivations of these new shield-bearers in special backup stories, starting with a revolutionary tale by writer Josh Trujillo and artist Jan Balzadua. This intriguing examination of the very concepts that define Captain America will explore the powerful impact the hero has had on the world outside your window. The incredible saga kicks off when Captain America’s shield is stolen. No one understands the value of the shield like those who’ve wielded it, so Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson set out on a road trip across America to chase down the thief. But instead, they find the Captains, everyday people from all walks of life who’ve taken up the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities. And for some reason, the shield thief wants them all dead. Can Sam and Steve get to them first? “It’s an incredible gift and definitely a creative challenge to take on the character of Captain America, especially during these unprecedented times in our country’s history. With this miniseries we're hoping to explore what the idea of Captain America means at this precise moment—not just on the grand stage of the world—but to everyday and often overlooked communities throughout the United States,” Cantwell explained. “This story is ultimately structured like a “road movie,” harkening back in ways to old Bob Rafelson and Hal Ashby films, with Steve Rogers (and soon Sam Wilson, and later… other key members in Steve’s life) getting to directly interact with those he represents as a symbol and has sworn to protect, but in an up close and personal way he hasn’t experienced in a while. I’m extremely excited to show how the idea of Captain America has been conceptualized and translated by various groups in the country, and for me the juice of the story is Cap reconciling so many interpretations OF himself WITH himself, both as a person and as an icon. This kind of cross-country epic is uniquely American and seems like a fantastic way to celebrate the character’s legacy right now." Eighty years ago, industry pioneers Jack Kirby and Joe Simon introduced the world to Captain America and Marvel Comics is proud to commemorate this legendary character’s anniversary with this bold new series. Stay tuned for more talent announcements and story details, and don’t miss this exciting new chapter in the Captain America mythos when THE UNITED STATES OF CAPTAIN AMERICA hits stands on June 2nd. 7. Deadline is reporting that Chris Evans is very close to setting a deal that would see him return as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is despite a number of times the actor suggesting he was fully retired from the role. If or when he returns, don't expect another Captain America solo movie, but look for him to return in the capacity of a supporting character in other MCU films.

The figure shown was Captain America. This is likely going to be part of the upcoming Avengers wave that will also include figures of Iron Man and Kamala (Ms. Marvel) from the game, as well as Mach-1, Rage, Leader and Captain Mar-vell. The Iron Man figure was confirmed by Hasbro late last year. We will likely see all these on display tomorrow during Toy Fair. More MAFEX Marvel reveals from Medicom have surface on social media (Sorry the original source of the images is unknow, if you know feel free to let us know and we will update with a link) from the 2020 Wonder Festival - Winter event, following the reveal of the Spider-Man: Far From Home Night Monkey figure. This time showing us new Avengers: Endgame based figures. Shown are Iron Man, Captain America and an unpainted prototype for a new Fat Warrior Thor figure. Seems like everyone has a version of this Thor coming except Hasbro??? Another MAFEX Marvel reveal that has surface is a X-Men: Age Of Apocalypse Magneto.
  23. Make a list of 5 figures you would like to see Re-done based on scale and proper proportions. List 5 as to give some sense of priority. Add multiple comments in groups of 5 if you would like. (Say a Mold Hasbro already has and could use). 1. US Agent (Grim Reaper/Captain America Mold) Definitely needs to be in the same league as Captain America. 2. Magneto (Grim Reaper/Captain America mold) I know Magneto isn't always depicted as big, but I love that Jim Lee Representation. 3. Cyclops (Grim Reaper/Captain America mold) Again for the Jim Lee Representation. I think would be a good looking figure. 4. Sentry (Sunfire, Spider UK or Bucky mold) Sentry has never been as big as Thor, he never needed to be. I a revamped Sentry with new cape would be a nice addition. 5. Hawkeye (Grim Reaper/ Captain America Mold) for my Clint Barton Hawkeye anyways. I do like the current Hawkeye for my Dark Hawkeye (which if remade I would like to see on the Sunfire/Bulleye mold).
  24. Shown below via eBay is a look at Hasbro's new 12" Spider-Man Maximum Venom Captain America figure which is part of their new Blast Gear Titan Hero Series.
