  6. So, per another thread, the idea for this one came up. Knowing we live in a golden age of superhero costumes adapted for the big screen, I'd argue since Sam Raimi's "Spider-man" in 2002 (NOT counting the X-men's biker leathers) which is the best, the very best ever adapted costume on the big or small screen?...Granted, thinking of one probably makes you think of 5 more, all of which sound like good answers ......... and they are!.........but if you had to choose one, which would it be?......and for this site, which figure goes along best? (I'm biased and will always go with a Hot Toy) For me, it's an embarrassment of riches thanks to the MCU, and I'll go with the SHIELD suit from "Captain America: Winter Soldier." Amazingly unexpected, faithful, functional that set a template for every other Cap uniform to follow, along with inspiring a perfect Hot Toy. It's impossible to pick one MCU costume........looking at you original Iron Man armor, for starters.....but I feel good with my choice. Yours?
  7. Looks like Kotobukiya is upping it's game in the statue arena with a new line being called ARTFX Premier, which is being billed as a high-quality statue line that challenges the limits of product development by capturing characters in the highest possible level of detail. The statues in this line are limited to a select number of pieces worldwide, and each one comes with its own unique collector number. They have released teaser images for their Marvel Captain America and Thor. Look for more details on this at Toy Fair which kicks off on February 16.
  8. Should they make a new Baron Zemo inspired by Avengers Under Siege. The last Baron Zemo was so long ago. They could make an 80th anniversary two pack with Zemo and Kang because they are classic avengers villains. They could also make a vintage collection Zemo. A new Helmut Zemo figure would be nice.

  20. Hi there guys, I have just started to put a collection together of the foil cards that come with these collectible Marvel Legends Figures and I was wondering if anyone on here would be kind enough to compile a list of figures that include these Foils so I can collect them all. As you can see i have the complete Series 1 (except for the rare editions of Iron Man).... I believe the Daredevil is apart of the Spider-Man Classics but can anybody identify for me which series name and number this Spider-man Foil is from please? Also lastly is there anyone on here that has any of these foils for sale or know where to get them because I will defiantly be interested in that. Thanks for your time...
  21. Does anyone else have problems with the clips on Marvel Legends Captain America shields breaking.I've had this problem time and time again. Not just clips, straps too. I've contacted Hasbro multiple times as well as sending the figures back, hoping to get a replacement. However, they just send back some random figure I don't even want.Does anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this or how to fix it.The best I've been able to do is glue the clip piece back on,but it usually breaks again when I try to put it on the "thin" part of the wrist. The only time it didn't happen was with my marvel now cap,and the paint on that one is scratching off.Let me know if you have any thoughts.Thanks.
  22. Some of the newer legends are starting to pop up on eBay now. I'm hoping the shield 3 pack will be easier to come by at TRU than the xmen legends that I never even got to see on shelf
  23. This custom is currently on eBay ---> http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575003513&toolid=10001&campid=5337381499&customid=&icep_item=161278397392&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg To see more, visit ---> http://www.mintconditioncustom.com/custom-falcon-movie-style/ Hasbro has no plans to make a Marvel Legends scaled movie Falcon figure, so I felt I had to make one myself. This one was pretty time consuming, and I had my moments of self doubt, but I’m glad I pushed myself to finish it to showcase here. The torso is from an ML Bucky Cap, the legs are from a movie Winter Soldier, the arms are from a Punisher, the head is from an ML movie Blade, and the wings are from an X-Men Classics Archangel. I added goggles to the head and it was resculpted and reworked to look more like Anthony Mackie. The shirt pockets came from a NECA Hicks, I used styrene for the zipper, sculpted all the fabric wrinkles in Aves Apoxie Sculpt, and used the harness straps from a Survival Suit Bruce Wayne. The hands come from a movie Nick Fury figure. The back leg armor on Falcon is from an Ultimate Iron Man. The wings were the toughest part. I reshaped the Archangel wings some, and used lots of reference images to get the design right. All the detailing over the wings was done with styrene. Very time consuming. Very frustrating. But something I felt was important to do to get Falcon right. Of course everything was painted accurately to the movie, down to the camo pattern on the pants. Last thing to do was to give him some pistols and a flight stand. And now Falcon is ready to fight alongside Cap to take down Hydra! Thanks for looking!
  24. This custom is currently on eBay ---> http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575003513&toolid=10001&campid=5337381499&customid=&icep_item=161278397580&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg To see more, visit ---> http://www.mintconditioncustom.com/custom-winter-soldier-movie/ I dig the movie Winter Soldier figure from Hasbro, but felt it could have been improved upon. So I took the masked head that came with the figure and sliced the mask and goggles off, dremeled out the back a lot, cut the goggles off and separated them from the mask, and now you can slip them on and off the unmasked head very easily. They tuck in under his hair, so it holds great. I also removed the eye paint on the unmasked head, added some stubble to the face, and a black wash to his hair. So now there’s four different looks the figure can have. I repainted his torso area black, and then dry brushed a bit of leather over it, which is much more movie accurate than it was before. I also did a general weathering job over the whole figure to make it look more realistic. I attached a knife from a NECA Dutch figure that can be removed easily on the back of the belt. The finishing touch was equiping him with weapons he used in the movie. I gave him a rifle similar to one he used in the film, and also cobbled together a gun that looked like the one in the movie that launched that “magnetic disc bomb” in his initial scene. Now Winter Soldier is ready to take down Cap! Thanks for looking!
  25. It's been years since I made a full 6 inches custom figure. Not really making a comeback on this scale, but making a tribute to a great series that has been canceled last year. EMH or Earth's Mightiest Heroes Avengers art is really cartoonish, a bit different the way they look on the comics. Making a customized figures based on their likeness on the show is kinda challenging since I really want to capture the cartoon feel for the figure. It's kinda ironic since I used DC universe as base figures. Enjoy the pics guys! "Forever fight as one" AVENGERS ASSEMBLE! http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l197/riverspoons/Rspoons/05EMHANTMAN_800_zps9dd08ded.jpg
