  8. If you subscribe to the Disney+ streaming service and collect Marvel Legends, then you may want to check out episode 6 of the new series Marvel 616 titled "Unboxed". Here is the official synopsis for the episode: During the episode they take a tour of Hasbro and talk with the Marvel Legends brand team. If you have ever watched any of the Hasbro Marvel live-stream videos then you will probably see some familiar faces.
  9. We know Hasbro is going to deliver on the villains in 2021 with a dedicated wave titled "Bring On The Bad" guys. Hasbro has already officially revealed three figures in the wave which includes Spider-Man/X-Men baddie Arcade who loves to play in Murderworld, Dr. Strange arch-nemesis Dormammu and A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme. Based on my intel the wave will have four more figures in it which will include Hydra Supreme, Lady Deathstrike, the Hood and Victor Von Doom. The exact versions we will get for some of these like Hydra Supreme and Victor Von Doom are UNKNOWN. Hydra Supreme could be the Steve Rogers version or they could go with a more classic version. My best guess for Doom is that it would be some type of unmasked version. Back in 2009 during SDCC Hasbro had on display a number of mock-up figures including one for the Hood. I am sure the final version will look different with an updated sculpt. So in other words, the images used here for the rumored figures are for reference purposes only, the final figures may look different. Of course all this should be considered RUMOR until we get official confirmation from Hasbro. Hasbro has confirmed this wave will have a Build-A-Figure . I don't have any info on what it will be, but my best guess based on the clue Hasbro gave during their last live-stream video is the Marvel Death character. In the video Dwight made a comment about having to keep Thanos happy with it. In the comics Thanos has had an obsession with the Death character. Others have speculated it could also be a Throne for Thanos. During the last live-stream video Hasbro also teased what appeared to be a M.O.D.O.K figure. Based on my intel a M.O.D.O.K is coming, and will be released as a deluxe figure. The price point I have seen listed for it is $50, so it looks like it may be more expensive than the normal deluxe figures which generally cost $30.

  15. rektangular has put out a video with new Marvel Legends wave listing rumors. He says the info comes from someone who sent it to him in Mexico from retail listings. I can add that I have heard about similar listings back when we reported on a rumor for the Marvel Legends House Of X/Power Of X Wave. In fact I have seen a ton of listings for Marvel Legends stuff rumored to be coming in 2021 that if turns out to be true, will blow your minds and your wallets. This includes a couple long time MCU fan demanded favorites. Obviously the listings I am about to share here with you are by no means confirmed, so they should be treated as RUMOR for now. In fact one of the reasons I haven't posted any further info on stuff I have seen since we posted the X-Men wave rumor, is because we had gotten indications from official sources that perhaps we should keep guessing on that one. So if that one is in some way wrong, perhaps all of it is. Still we now have two more rumored wave listings coming from multiple places, which is why I am going to share this latest rumor with you. So first up rektangular gives details about the next "Avengers" themed wave, which my initial Intel had labeled as a Disney+ wave. It is more speculation than anything that these figures will be based on the MCU Disney+ shows, so some of them could possibly be comic book based. The listing rektangular gives is as follows: - USAgent - Loki - Baron Zemo - Scarlet Witch - Vision - Winter Soldier - Captain America Captain America is likely going to be Falcon, though we should note that we've seen with the Marvel Minimates for Falcon and the Winter Soldier, USAgent was actually referred to as Captain America. Being there is an actual USAgent in the wave listed, that would either suggest we would get both a comic and Disney+ version of USAgent, which I would love to see, or more likely Captain America here is referring to Falcon, who is not listed by name in the listings. Next up rektangular lists the figures for the Shang-Chi wave as follows: -Shang-Chi -Civil Warrior -Death Dealer -Iron Man -Leiku Wu -Shang-Chi -Mei Ling Shang-Chi, Leiku Wu and Mei Ling are all speculated to be movie based while the rest will likely be comic based. I should note the initial info I had seen only listed Mei Ling as TBD, so rektangular's info is the first I am seeing an actual name for that one. So that is it for now. Again this should be treated as RUMOR until we get some kind of official confirmation from Hasbro. I do expect some official Marvel Legends reveals to come next Friday on the 13th, so perhaps we will learn more then. You can check out Rektangular's latest video here.

  20. Back in August 2019 Hasbro announced a company wide initiative to remove plastic from all of their toy packaging by the end of 2022. For many of their products this likely won't be that difficult to do, however when it comes to the world of collectible action figures like say Marvel Legends, that isn't as easy as it sounds. You see many, at least those who still do their primary figure buying at physical stores, as opposed to online want to be able to see the figures they buy before handing their cash over. This is for a number of reasons. One is so they can pick the figure with the best paint applications, since all figures aren't created equally when they ship from the overseas factories. Another reason people want to see the figure they are buying is to make sure it's the actual one listed on the packaging. You see an all to common problem that has developed in the hobby is the act of figure swapping. This is when someone decides to switch out an old figure with the new one and then put it back on the pegs. Usually these people will buy the figure, go home switch out the new figure with an old one and then take it back as a return. The stores who have know idea what the actual figure in the box should be take it, and then eventually put it back on their shelves to be resold. If one can't see the figure inside the packaging, then they have no way of knowing if a figure swapper has gotten to before they have. Recently Hasbro has been selling army builder Marvel Legends figures which are sold exclusively online. These figures come in a unique closed box that features nice artwork on the outside. This packaging is totally comprised of cardboard, and has no plastic on it. The boxes are smaller than regular Marvel Legends packaging and the figures cost about $5 cheaper. So is this something Hasbro could switch the entire line over to? Dan Yun from the Hasbro Marvel brand team poses a question not to long ago on social media asking what people thought about the closed box troop builder packages... Was this just a random question Dan posed because he was bored, or was he trying to do some research, getting customer feeback about the new packaging? Most of the responses he got seemed to totally ignore the packaging aspect of his question, as people instead honed in on the troop builder aspect of it. Still this got me wondering, could they be considering this style of packaging for the entire Marvel Legends line? Is it at all practical for a mass retail produced action figure line? For myself, I have no problem if they went to a closed box style for their action figures. I think modifications would need to be made to make it more difficult to take the figure out of the box and put a different one back in, but otherwise I would be fine with it. Of course I do most of my figure shopping online these days, and I open all my figures, so packaging to me is just something that goes into the garbage. Since Dan didn't seem to get many responses about the actual packaging, I thought I would pose the question here for you all. Do you like the closed box packaging, and would it be practical for a line like Marvel Legends at mass retail? If not, then how do you think they can live up to the company mandate of no plastic in their packages by 2022? Let us know your thoughts on this in the COMMENT SECTION below.

  23. Technically we can consider this our first piece of merchandise for the upcoming Falcon And Winter Solider Disney+ series. It's a new Marvel Legends Role-Play Shield. I believe the only difference between this one and the one previously released for Captain America is the line work in the silver portions and the Falacon And Winter Soldier logo's added to the box. Here is the official description: Iconic in its design and durability, this premium role play shield is the ultimate combination of offense and defense! Specially modeled on the First Avenger’s trademark symbol, the Marvel Legends Series Falcon and Winter Soldier Captain America Shield measures an impressive 24 inches in diameter and features adjustable straps, which allow it be worn like Captain America!
