  1. Last week during Hasbro's live-stream Marvel Legends event, they gave us a clue for one of the figures they will release in 2020. The clue indicated it would be a figure Toy Biz did originally for Marvel Legends that Hasbro has yet to redo. I thought it would be fun to compile a list of figures Toy Biz did back in the day for Marvel Legends that Hasbro has yet to give us modern versions of. I also share my thoughts on how likely I think each choice is for getting the figure treatment this year. Now I am sticking with just Marvel Legends figures Toy Biz did and not veering off into 6" sublines like Spider-Man and X-Men for this list. I also am not including Galactus. Hasbro has done a more recent Galactus figure, and while technically it was released for the Marvel Universe line and not Marvel Legends, I am counting that one as a Marvel Legends. Plus there is no way they would do Galactus this year. To start the list off, I had to go back all the way to the very first wave of Marvel Legends that Toy Biz did. The figure is of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants member Toad. The funny thing about the Toy Biz Toad figure is that while technically released under the Marvel Legends banner, it actually was created for a line that predated Marvel Legends. That is why the articulation was not as good as other figures in the wave. Hasbro has been going heavy on X-Men related characters this year, and I think it's long overdue that we get an updated Toad. I give Toad an 80% probability of being included in the line this year. The next figure on the list is Howard the Duck, which was technically released as a pack-in with the Toy Biz Silver Surfer figure back in 2003. Hasbro did give us a Howard figure for the 3.75" line, but I don't see them giving us one in 6" for this year. If or when they do, I would hope it is also a pack-in like the Toy Biz one. I give Howard the Duck a 10% probability of being included in the line this year. Wesley Snipes Movie Blade figure is the next figure on the list. Assuming Hasbro could get the likeness rights, I could see them possibly doing a tribute figure to the movie that really kicked off the modern era of Marvel movies. I don't see it happening this year, but maybe when we get closer to the release of the new MCU Blade movie. I give Movie Blade a 5% probability of being included in the line this year. Besides Blade, Toy Biz also did a Thomas Jame movie Punisher figure. I don't see Hasbro ever doing this one. I give Thomas Jane Punisher a 0% probability of being included in the line this year. Hasbro also seems to be on a Hulk kick recently, and it doesn't hurt that the character of Maestro is appearing in comics again. Toy Biz did this one back in 2005, and I could definitely see Hasbro doing a figure of him in the somewhat near future. I give Maestro a 75% probability of being included in the line this year. Hasbro has given us a few different MCU Hulkbuster Iron Man figures for Marvel Legends, but never a comic based one. Toy Biz did one back in 2005, and while I could see Hasbro doing an updated version eventually, I don't see it happening this year. I give comic based Hulkbuster Iron Man a 30% probability of being included in the line this year. This next one I wasn't sure I should even include here. It's Angel in his red (or blue) X-Men outfit. Toy Biz did this one back in 2005. Technically Hasbro has done an Angel figure, but it was based on the character's original X-Men uniform and was released in a Toys R' Us exclusive boxset. Technically that version of Angel was based on a Worthington from the past that had traveled to the present, which made him different from the regular Angel, well kinda. Despite technicalities I feel like that boxset Angel disqualifies him from this list and therefore don't see much chance of seeing this figure released in 2020. I give Angel a 8% probability of being included in the line this year. The next four figures were originally released by Toy Biz in a Young Avengers boxset back in 2006. The set included figures of Asgardian (Wiccan), Hulking, Iron Lad and Patriot. Out of those four, I would say Hulking and Wiccan have the best chance of getting modern figures since they are playing a decent size role in the comics these days and just got married to one another. If Hasbro was bold they would make a wedding 2-pack, but I don't see that happening, at least not this year. I give Asgardian (Wiccan), Hulking, Iron Lad, and Patriot a 45% probability of being included in the line this year. Another boxset Toy Biz did back in 2006 was one that included the likes of Tomb Of Dracula, Frankenstein Monster, Werewolf By Night and Living Zombie. With movies like Blade and Morbius on the horizon, we could definitely see Hasbro giving these classics the action figure treatment, just not this year. I give Tomb Of Dracula, Frankenstein Monster, Werewolf By Night, and Living Zombie a 45% probability of being included in the line this year. While neither Toy Biz or Hasbro has given us a Mephisto figure, Toy Biz did give us his son Blackheart back in 2006. I don't really see Hasbro doing the same any time soon. I give Comic Blackheart a 15% probability of being included in the line this year. The one Age Of Apocalypse figure Toy Biz gave us that Hasbro has not yet is Sabretooth. Since we have already gotten Wild Child and this is the anniversary year for the Age of Apocalypse storyline, Sabretooth seems very likely in my view to get the figure treatment from Hasbro. I give Comic Age of Apocalypse Sabretooth a 95% probability of being included in the line this year. One I am sure we will see eventually is a comic book based Falcon. Toy Biz gave us a Classic Falcon back in 2006, and I think Hasbro will do the same once the Falcon and Winter Soldier series hits Disney+. I don't see it coming this year however. I give Classic Falcon a 12% probability of being included in the line this year. Mojo which Toy Biz did as a Build-A-Figure back in 2006 is long overdue from Hasbro. After all Hasbro has given us versions of Spiral, Longshot and Shatterstar, so Mojo seems like a given. My guess is when Hasbro does a Mojo figure, it to will be done as a Build-A-Figure. Because of that, I would say 2021 is the soonest we might see that figure done by Hasbro. I give Mojo a 20% probability of being included in the line this year. Another obscure Iron Man armor Toy Biz did that Hasbro has yet to do is the Thorbuster armor. Since Hasbro loves Iron Man, I could see them doing this one down the road. I give Thorbuster Iron Man a 10% probability of being included in the line this year. Modok was another Build-A-Figure Toy Biz did back in 2006 that Hasbro has yet to update. This is another one I definitely see Hasbro doing, but once again as Build-A-Figure. I give Modok a 30% probability of being included in the line this year. It's hard to believe Hasbro has yet to give us a comic book based 6" Mandarin figure for the Marvel Legends line. Toy Biz did one in 2006 and Hasbro has done a movie one and a comic book one for the 3.75" line. It's only a matter of time before they get around to it for the 6" line, but I'm not sure if 2020 will be the year. I give comic based Mandarin a 50% probability of being included in the line this year. The final 4 figures were all released by Toy Biz in a House Of M boxset back in 2006. They did figures of Hulk, Iron Man, Inhuman Torch, and It. Like Age of Apocalypse, I could see them doing a wave to celebrate that iconic story, just not this year. I give House of M Hulk, Iron Man, Inhuman Torch and It figures a 10% probability of being included in the line this year. So assuming I didn't miss any, these are all the possibilities for Toy Biz figures that Hasbro has yet to do, with one of them getting the figure treatment later this year. My best guess would be either the Age of Apocalypse Sabretooth to round out the Age of Apocalypse roster or a Toad figure to go along with the likes of Mystique, Blob and the new Pyro. Who knows -- based on other clues Hasbro gave last week for new 2020 figures, maybe we will see an updated Blob figure and Avalanche (done for the first time in the actual Marvel Legends line) to go along with Toad??? Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION which Toy Biz figure you want to see Hasbro give an update to next.

  5. Ryan, Dan & Dwight from Hasbro's Marvel brand team are back with another live-stream event. We will be covering the event here live as things are announced. Hasbro has not been allowing websites to embed these videos as of late so we will add a link for you to watch it when it begins. Refresh regularly to see images and details for what they show. Link to video They start off talking about the Haslab Sentinel and their thanks to fans for funding it so quickly. Hasbro has locked in UK, Mexico and Australia retailers who will be offering the Sentinel to folks outside the US. As previously reported a second tentacle has been added to the Sentinel as a thank you. Now on to the new news.... They are going over the new Deadpool 2 figures which we saw the images for leaked out yesterday. Also talking about the Old Man Logan and Hawkeye 2-Pack. All these go up for pre-order in the next hour. Hawkeye has the pinless technology. They are announcing the Nimrod 3-pack which is exclusive to Amazon and be up for pre-order today. The announced the Target exclusive Thunderbird and Storm 2-pack The SDCC Exclusives will be up for pre-order on Hasbropluse at a later date and be available in September. For X-Men Movie its a Logan Movie with Logan and Prof X. Logan comes with alternate blood covered claws. The X-Men movie wheel chair doesnt have the X on the wheels because they wanted it reuse it with this set. The second SDCC exclusive is the Hellfire Club boxset. Includes Donald Pierce, Jean Grey Black Queen with alternae Selene head, Shaw, and Emma Frost. Shaw and Pierce use parts from the Captain Marvel movie Nick Fury figure. Emma has an extra pair of hands not shown in these images. Packaging is very nicely designed. As a tease for a future item Dwight held up a yellow glove of some kind. See below. Then it looks like they pretended to not realize they were still airing and showed another weird looking item. Two silver pieces that connect together.

  8. Youtuber rektangular has posted a new video with some pretty interesting news for what possibly will be the first wave of Spider-Man themed Marvel Legends figures in 2021, as well as some new Fan-Channel exclusive single releases. I do want to point out that I have not personally had a chance to vet any of this information myself nor has it been confirmed by Hasbro. rektangular has developed a pretty decent track record for sniffing this stuff out which is why I am going on and sharing the information with you, but we will treat all of this as RUMOR for now. One thing to note however, at the beginning of his video he starts talking about the recent Best Of Avengers: Endgame figures. Those figures are overseas releases that have been out for some time now, and have nothing to do with Dwight's tease from the other week's video live-stream event when he held up what looked like a charred Thanos figure arm. Anyway, the interesting stuff talked about in this video is what looks to be the line-up for the first wave of 2021 Spider-Man themed Marvel Legends. rektangular has discovered a listing that suggest the wave will include the following figures: - Into The Spider-Verse movie based Miles Morales Spider-Man - Into The Spider-Verse movie based Peter B. Parker Spider-Man> - Into The Spider-Verse movie based Spider-Gwen - Into The Spider-Verse movie based Prowler - Marvel Comics Frog-Man - Marvel Comics Hand Ninja Hasbro back before they knew how successful the Into The Spider-Verse movie from Sony was going to be, gave us a pretty weak attempt at Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen in a Target exclusive 2-pack. Hopefully with these, they will be much more movie accurate. Also while I don't remember exactly where, I seem to recall Hasbro mentioning earlier this year that they would be revisiting the Into The Spider-Verse movie universe for the Marvel Legends line. Frog-Man is another very obscure Spidey villain that would be in keeping with the likes of other recent releases such as White Rabbit. The Hand Ninja might seem like an odd choice for a Spider-Man wave, but since Hasbro usually puts Daredevil related characters into these waves, it makes much more sense. Also I am sure Hasbro would later on re-release it as part of their HasbroPulse army-builder line. In the video rektangular speculates that Stilt-Man makes the most sense for the Build-A-Figure in the wave, and I totally agree with him. It was pretty apparent a Stilt-Man figure was being teased in a previous live-stream video by Hasbro, and he makes the most sense for a Spider-Man wave with his connections to Daredevil. - Stilt-Man Build-A-Figure rektangular has also discovered what looks to be additional Fan-Channel exclusives released on Spider-Man Retro cardbacks with the following figures - J. Jonah Jameson - Black Cat - Firestar with the dog Ms. Lion J. Jonah Jameson makes perfect sense for one of these types of releases since Hasbro already did a Jonah headsculpt back when they released the Chameleon figure. They will likely use that headsculpt and put it on the body of the Black Panther movie Ulysses Klaue figure. We've already gotten 2 versions of Black Cat fairly recently in the Marvel Legends line, so it's not terribly surprising they would push out a third one. Possibly some kind of slightly modified re-paint of the one they did in the Kingpin BAF wave. Firestar is one many fans of the original Spider-Man: And His Amazing Friends cartoon have been wanting for some time, so it's great to hear there is a strong possibility that it is finally on the way. It is a little surprising to see her released as a single release like this, but she will probably incorporate a lot of parts from some other previously released figure(s). We do hope they go with her classic look, and not one of the more modern ones. Ms. Lion which was the dog first featured in the Amazing Friends cartoon will be a nice additional touch. Besides rounding out the Amazing Friends team with Iceman and Spider-Man, this figure will also put folks one step closer to rounding out their original New Warriors team. So there you have it. As always until Hasbro officially confirms these which will hopefully be soon, we will treat all these as rumors. Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION which ones you are most excited for, and if you want you can watch rektangular's entire video here.

  17. Perhaps my favorite look and possibly the most unique looking of the primary suits worn by Tony Stark, is the Silver Centurion Iron Man armor. The darker red and silver colors were a vast departure from the typical gold and red armor normally worn by the character. The suit first appeared back in 1985 in Iron Man #200. Besides looking very different from previous armors in both colors and design, the debut of this armor also marked the long return of Tony Stark as Iron Man. 2 years earlier in Iron Man #169, Stark gave up being Iron Man due to his struggles with alcohol and handed the reins over to his best friend James Rhodes. Rhodes was the man behind the helmet for such major events as the first Secret Wars and became one of the founding members of the West Coast Avengers. Stark had actually created the Silver Centurion armor for Rhodes, but ended up having to don the suit himself after Rhodes was critically injured at the hands of Obadiah Stane and Stan's Iron Monger armor. Stane and the Iron Monger armor of course later appeared in the first Iron Man movie. Stark continued wearing the red and silver armor for around 3 years, in both the Iron Man and West Coast Avengers comics. Eventually the suit was badly damaged in issue #230 at the hands of another armored character known as Firepower. This was during the classic "The Armor Wars" storyline where Stark also took on former ally Steve Rogers, who at the time wore the USAgent costume and was going by the name of The Captain. The shield Rogers used during that time was actually created by Stark and only contained Vibranium. After the events of "The Armor Wars" and his battle with Firepower in issue #230, Stark faked Iron Man's death and created a new armor and persona for the armored Avenger. At the time Stark's identity as Iron Man was a secret. The new armor while pretty cool in design returned to the traditional gold and red colors. Over the years we have gotten a few action figures based on the comic book version of the Silver Centurion armor. Toy Biz gave us a very cool 6" Marvel Legends version, which featured a removable faceplate and a giant rocket space pack that also acted as a display stand. While Hasbro has yet to give us a 6" version, they did give us a 3.75" version in their Iron Man 2 line, and then again in their Marvel Universe line as part of their comic 2-pack assortment. We have also seen variations of the Silver Centurion from the movies and Armored Adventures done as figures, but those weren't comic book accurate. So when will Hasbro give us a modern 6" Marvel Legends figure based on the Silver Centurion armor from the comics? Well if rumors and computer listings are to be believed, the answer should be sometime later this year, likely released as a Walgreens exclusive. Whether this will be a retooled figure based on one of the more recent Iron Man figures Hasbro has released, or a completely new sculpt remains to be seen, but I have high hopes it will look good either way. The Walgreens's exclusive Iron Man 2020 figure is hitting shelves now, and we know Hasbro also has a new War Machine figure slated for release later this year as a deluxe figure. My guess is, we will see the Silver Centurion announced around July with a later in the year release date. Until then check out this cool custom 6" Silver Centurion Iron Man figure done by Lokoboys. Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION, will a Silver Centurion Iron Man Marvel Legends figure be a must buy purchase for you?

  22. In what seems to be the standard trend these days, leaked images of what we presume was supposed to be tomorrow's reveal have surfaced online revealing the full wave of Venom figures. Revealed back at Toy Fair in February, Venomized Mile Morales and Spider-Gwen (marketed as Ghost Spider) started this wave off with a Venomized Cap being a Walmart exclusive. Joined them we now have confirmation of Absolute Carnage Saga's Carnage, Movie Venom, Midnight Sons' Morbius and Phage of the Life Foundation's Symbiote team (that leaves only Riot and Agony left). While Hasbro tease Stilt-man in the last stream, this wave BAF will be a Venompool from the Contest Of Champions mobile game. More information to come tomorrow. Updated info from panel: Movie Venom will stand between 7-8" tall. Carnage is said to be a new sculpt. Hasbro asks if people want to see a movie version of Morbius. Walgreens Silver Centurion Iron Man announced. Has good should articulation. Not going up for pre-order today. They will announce that date later. Also will be at EBGames in Canada. They are plugging the Haslab Sentinel which has less than a week to go if you want to get one. Another tier will be unlocked at 16k backers. Tri-Sentiel alternate head with three different faces and paint apps. The eyes will all be translucent so they glow. Teasers: Tease 1 - Character in Toy Biz line but never Hasbro. Tease # 2 - A character done early in the Hasbro line and possibly TB to will be getting an update. Will be out this year. Third Tease - Hasbro did the 3.75" figure but never 6". Tease 4 - A character that has never had an action figure. All will be out in 2020. Hasbro also made reference to not getting to much sun and not to Torch yourself out there.
