  1. It's being reported by Variety that this year's San Diego Comic Con like last year will be held virtually due to the COVID pandemic. There are indications that the con organizers will try to organize some type of in-person event in November. Stay-tuned for more details to be revealed on all of this in the coming days.
  2. Yesterday Hasbro held one of their Fan-Friday Live-Stream events for Marvel Legends. While yesterday's reveals were no where near on par with what we usually see in February at Toy Fair (which was canceled this year due to COVID), we did get some useful updates to help fill in the pieces of what we should be seeing in 2021. With that I have complied a new list for Marvel Legends of "What we know, what we thing we know and what we kind of know". Ok so lets start off going over everything that has yet to be released, but has been "OFFICIALLY" confirmed by Hasbro. I will leave the X-Men House Of X Tri-Sentinel wave on here even though it is now starting to hit shelves. This wave includes figures based on the House Of X/Power of X Marvel Comics story-line. The figures in the wave are as follows: Professor X figure -Pair of alternate hands -Alternate head sculpt -BAF Piece Cyclops figure -Alternate head sculpt -Blast effect -BAF Piece Magneto figure -2 Pairs of alternate hands -BAF Piece Jean Grey figure -Pair of alternate hands -Krakoan flower pod -BAF Piece Moira MacTaggert figure -Pair of alternate arms -Alternate head sculpt -Book -Scarf -BAF Piece Omega Sentinel figure -Alternate head sculpt -Pair of alternate forearms -BAF Piece Wolverine figure -Alternate head sculpt The Build-A-Figure is the Tri-Sentinel. You can purchase these now from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Hasbro has also confirmed that they will be releasing a Marvel Legends 6" Mega Deluxe M.O.D.O.K. figure that will cost $50. This is the most expensive Deluxe figure Hasbro has done to date. This one is also available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. I should note that yesterday it was revealed this figure will have a feature where you can store it's accessories inside of it. Hasbro has also officially announced a $30 Marvel Legends Deluxe Maestro Figure and a green modern She-Hulk figure. Those are both currently available for pre-order now. She-Hulk is due out in July and Maestro is due out in August. Hasbro announced the first wave of 3 3/4" Retro Marvel Legends figures that will be released at general retail. This wave will see Hulk, Human Torch, Captain Marvel Captain America, Spider-Man and Magento. These will cost $9.99 and start hitting Targets stores in March and then see a more general release in April. For exclusives we know that there will be a new Deadpool 2 Movie burned version coming to Amazon in March. You can still pre-order that one through our Amazon affiliate link. Walgreens in the US and EB Games in Canada is getting a new Fallen Silver Surfer figure which is starting to see release now. Hasbro also revealed that the theme for this years Walgreens exclusives would be a "Cosmic" one. Following the Silver Surfer will be a new Classic Richard Rider Nova figure. Nova will come extra hands an Qubit. Following Nova will be the release of Quasar. Nova is due out in early spring followed by Quasar in late spring. Finally as of yesterday we now have an officially confirmed Bring On The Bad Guys wave which includes figures of A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme, Arcade, Dormammu, Von-Doom in white with Thanos Spine and Skull, Hood, Lady Deathsrike and Classic Red Skull. The Build-A-Figure for this wave is Xemnu. This wave is available for pre-order now at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Now for what we think we know, which means I am pretty confident about the legitimacy of this info, but it has yet to be officially confirmed by Hasbro at this time. We will continue to treat this portion as RUMOR until Hasbro officially confirms it. Hasbro has officially revealed a new Classic Ultron figure as well as what they are calling AI Tony Stark. The AI Tony Stark figure will come with a hologram Tony head as well as a normal helmeted head. So we know those two figures are definitely coming, but Hasbro has yet to announce how they will be released. According to info I have seen both figures will be part of an Iron Man themed wave. I don't know what the Build-A-Figure for the wave will be, but the single release figures should be as follows: - Classic Ultron - Darkstar - (Unknown if this will feature her classic look or a more modern one) - Iron Man Modular Armor - Likely the classic suit from the 90s. - Iron Heart - Guardsman - My info was not clear if this will be just a regular classic Guardsman or possibly a more specific version like maybe Curtis Elkins who was part of The Jury. Granted the Sentry version would seemingly be more fitting for a Venom themed wave, but we will have to see. - Hologram AI Tony Stark - Iron Man Stealth - There have been several versions of the Stealth Armor featured in the comics over the years, and I have no idea which specific one the figure will actually be based on. Hasbro Also revealed yesterday a Civil Warrior figure from the Marvel Contest of Champions game. Based on info from multiple sources this figure should end up being part of the Shang-Chi wave. NOTE THIS NEXT SECTION MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS FOR UPCOMING MCU MOVIES AND DISNEY+ SHOWS. SCROLL DOWN TO THE NEXT SECTION TO AVOID Hasbro has pretty much said we can expect a wave of figures for the upcoming Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings movie, but hasn't given us any details about what figures we will see in it. The listings for the wave that I have seen which will be a mix of comic and movie based figures breakdown as follows: -Shang-Chi -Death Dealer -Leiku Wu -Mei Ling -Iron Man -Civil Warrior Shang-Chi, Leiku Wu and Mei Ling are all speculated to be movie based while the rest will likely be comic based. Once again the Build-A-Figure for the wave is unknown. Other movie and TV stuff we pretty much know is coming include figures from The Eternals movie that were originally supposed to be released last year. While Hasbro hasn't officially confirmed the figures for the MCU Eternals movie wave, we know what they are, because images of the figures have already leaked out. This wave was originally slated for released this past summer but got pushed when the movie did. The Eternals movie is now slated with a November 5, 2021 release, which means we probably won't officially see these figures on shelves until we get closer to that date. The regular wave of figures which you can check out images of HERE will include the following: - Ikaris who will be played by actor Richard Madden - Sersi who will be played by actress Gemma Chan - Makkari who will be played by actress Lauren Ridloff - Sprite who will be played by actress Lia McHugh - Phastos who will be played by actor Brian Tyree Henry - Kingo who will be played by actor Kumail Nanjiani - Druig who will be played by actor Barry Keoghan The Build-A-Figure will be Gilgamesh. We also know there will be a Deluxe Eternals Kro figure, and some kind of store exclusive single release of Ajak. There should also be 2 waves of Disney+ themed Marvel figures coming in 2021. The first wave which we will likely see around June time frame is slated to include the following: - USAgent - Loki - Baron Zemo - Scarlet Witch - Vision - Winter Soldier - Captain America Captain America is likely going to be Falcon, and no word on what the Build-A-Figure will be. POSSIBLE MCU SPOILERS ENDS HERE Last year Hasbro released a Retro Fantastic Four Doctor Doom figure as a single release. There should be a full wave of Fantastic Four Retro figures coming in 2021, however I don't have any specific details on what figures will be included at this time. We have seen listing using code names for this wave however. Fantastic Four – November 2021 F0171 – Assortment UPC: 5010993842780 Retro Carded – No BaF • F3018 – Figure 1 – 5010993842605 • F0350 – Figure 2 – 5010993842551 • F0351 – Figure 3 – 5010993842544 • F0352 – Figure 4 – 5010993842520 • F0353 – Figure 5 – 5010993842537 • F0354 – Figure 6 – 5010993842599 This wave will NOT have a Build-A-Figure. Next up we have seen indications for a new MCU Sub-Line called Infinity Saga. I have seen info that suggests that we can expect to see figures of Quicksilver from Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Fat Warrior Thor from Avengers: Endgame released in this series. The folks at FWOOSH also dug up these listings for the line. INFINITY SAGA (MCU) – Late Summer / Early Fall 2021 • F0218 – SET 6 IM1 – 5010993842681 ($69.99) • F0189 – SET 7 THR3 – 5010993842667 ($49.99) • F0192 – SET 10 AVN4 – 5010993842353 ($59.99) I believe the AVN4 set will be a 2-pack and the other two will be single releases. Hasbro suggested yesterday we will probably start getting official details on these in April. There has also been a listing for a "Classic X-Men" wave show up online which is listed as follows: Legends Classic X – September 2021 F1005 – Assortment UPC: 5010993840021 Unknown (BaF) • F1006 – Classic X 1 – 5010993839636 • F1007 – Classic X 2 – 5010993839605 • F1008 – Classic X 3 – 5010993839599 • F1009 – Classic X 4 – 5010993839582 • F1010 – Classic X 5 – 5010993839629 • F1011 – Classic X 6 – 5010993839612 • F1091 – Classic X 7 – 5010993839643 These numbers match up to info that I have seen that suggests this will be a second wave of Age of Apocalypse figures. I don't know what specific figures will be included in the wave. There is also a listing for a Black Widow 2-pack that showed up online that reads as follows: Marvel Legends Black Widow 2 pack Product Number: F1129 EAN: 5010993860777 This is likely going to contain figures of Red Guardian and Yelena from the Black Widow movie. For those keeping track, this is brand new info I am sharing with you. Finally I want to note I have seen indications from multiple soruces that the MSRP of regular release Marvel Legends figures will be going up from $19.99 to $22.99. This will likely start happeing with figures released in the July timeframe. Ok now for the final section which involves info of what we kind of know or like to SPECULATE about. This section is more for fun than anything but should NOT be treated as cofirmed info in any way. Hasbro has given us a few hints/teases for whats to come. We know there will be a new sculpted figure that will have a tail coming. My GUESS for that is an updated Tigra figure, but I really have absolutely no idea on that one. Since they specifically used the words newly sculpted figure in their clue, that suggests to me that this will be a new updated figure of one already released as opposed to a figure of a character never released before. Hasbro also told us that we will be seeing a Cannonball figure with legs in 2021. It's unknown if this will be the same X-Force figure we just got, only with legs as opposed to the blast-off effect, or something else entirely. Maybe a New Mutants version??? Just yesterday Hasbro teased an image of a sword. The sword I am pretty sure is supposed to represent the legendary Excalibur sword often seen used by Captain Britain. At first I thought perhaps this was a tease for just a new Captain Britain figure, maybe in his classic outfit. As I thought about it more however, I decided a boxset featuring figures on the original Exclaibur team made more sense. It would be a pretty easy set for them to do. They could use the same Nightcrawler figure they recently released in the X-Men line. The other characters on the team would include Shadowcat in her classic blue outfit, Captain Britain himself which would likely reuse parts from previous figures. Phoenix (Rachel Summers) and Meggan would round out the team and likely would require only minor retooing of existing female sculpts. For accessories they could add Widget and Lockheed. If Hasbro wanted to go all out they might even add some silver Warwolves. IF they ended up doing an Excalibur boxset it would likely be released as an Amazon exclusive like they did with the previous Alpha Fight and Children of Thanos ones. So that's it for now, but there is definely more to come in 2021, so stay-tuned.
  3. Marvel Legends 2021 - What We Know And What We Think We Know Is Coming So Far In The New Year Figures Jay Cochran - January 02, 2021 [ edit post ] With 2020 now in the rear-view mirror, and a whole slew of new Marvel Legends products coming in 2021, I thought now was as good as any time to do an updated "What We Know, And What We Think We Know" segment. In these segments I try to recap all the reported confirmed and unconfirmed rumors of Marvel Legends product Hasbro will be releasing in the coming months. Before we get to the recap, I do want to note that it looks like the next "official" Hasbro Marvel Legends reveal will becoming on Monday, January 11. Normally there is a new Marvel Legends reveal made on the first Monday of each month, but from what I can tell for January, that has been pushed to the second Monday of the month, likely due to the recent Holidays and people being off. I am not able to tell you what the reveal on the 11th will be, but I do believe a clue for it can be found in the "Happy New Years" image above. And it's not anything mentioned down below. Ok so lets start off going over everything that has yet to be released, but has been "OFFICIALLY" confirmed by Hasbro. Truthfully this is the smaller portion of the article, since recently by the time Hasbro gets around to announcing it, it starts seeing release. Things like the Spider-Man Stiltman BAF wave, Deluxe Thanos and Firestar figures that Hasbro only announced a short time ago have already started showing up. Hell you may recall that the Avengers Mr. Fixit BAF wave started hitting shelves a week after Hasbro announced it. The two most recent items to show up are the Firestar and Deluxe Thanos figures. You can check out our first review of Firestar HERE. And our first review of the new Deluxe Thanos HERE. So probably the next thing we can expect to start showing up is the newly announced X-Men House Of X Tri-Sentinel wave. This wave includes figures based on the House Of X/Power of X Marvel Comics story-line. The figures in the wave are as follows: Professor X figure -Pair of alternate hands -Alternate head sculpt -BAF Piece Cyclops figure -Alternate head sculpt -Blast effect -BAF Piece Magneto figure -2 Pairs of alternate hands -BAF Piece Jean Grey figure -Pair of alternate hands -Krakoan flower pod -BAF Piece Moira MacTaggert figure -Pair of alternate arms -Alternate head sculpt -Book -Scarf -BAF Piece Omega Sentinel figure -Alternate head sculpt -Pair of alternate forearms -BAF Piece Wolverine figure -Alternate head sculpt The Build-A-Figure is the Tri-Sentinel. You can pre-order these now from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. For exclusives we know that there will be a new Deadpool 2 Movie burned version coming to Amazon in March. You can still pre-order that one through our Amazon affiliate link. Walgreens in the US and EB Games in Canada will be getting a new Fallen Silver Surfer figure coming in early Spring. That one has yet to go up for pre-order. Hasbro also revealed that the theme for this years Walgreens exclusives would be a "Cosmic" one. Following the Silver Surfer will be a new Classic NOVA figure. What follows NOVA remains unknown at this time. Beyond that, Hasbro has given us a few hints/teases for whats to come. Hasbro also revealed that we will be getting a new Classic Ultron figure sometime in 2021. I will be talking more about that one down below in the RUMOR portion of the article. Finally Hasbro has confirmed that they are doing an all-villains "Bring On The Bad Guys" wave this year. The three figures officially confirmed for this wave include Arcade, Dormammu and A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme. Ok so that brings us to the UNOFFICIAL RUMOR portion of the article. Nothing beyond this point has been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED by Hasbro. That being said, I personally feel pretty confident in these rumors being legit, otherwise I wouldn't be presenting them to you. Still as I always say, until Hasbro does officially confirm this stuff, well you know. So lets start things off by going back to that Classic Ultron figure we know is coming. While Hasbro didn't tell us how or where it would be released, my info suggests it will be part of a new Iron Man themed wave. The Build-A-Figure for the wave is not known at this time, but the regular figures in the wave look to include the following: - Classic Ultron - Darkstar (Unknown if this will feature her classic look or a more modern one) - Iron Man Modular Armor - Iron Heart - Guardsman (My info was not clear if this will be just a regular classic Guardsman or possibly a more specific version like maybe Curtis Elkins who was part of The Jury. Granted the Sentry version would seemingly be more fitting for a Venom themed wave, but we will have to see.) Hologram - (The assumption is that this will be an Iron Man figure, possibly the more modern Model 68 version.) Iron Man Stealth - (There have been several versions of the Stealth Armor featured in the comics over the years, and I have no idea which specific one the figure will actually be based on. My best guess would be that they will repaint the recent Alex Ross Iron Man figure with stealth colors, but we will have to wait and see.) Lets also finish up what I think will be the remaining three figures in the Bring On The Bad Guys wave. Again the Build-A-Figure is unknown, but the regular figures in the wave look to include Arcade, Dormammu, A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme, Hydra Supreme, Lady Deathstrike, the Hood and Victor Von Doom. The exact versions we will get for some of these like Hydra Supreme and Victor Von Doom are UNKNOWN. Last year Hasbro released a Retro Fantastic Four Doctor Doom figure as a single release. There should be a full wave of Fantastic Four Retro figures coming in 2021, however I don't have any specific details on what figures will be included at this time. Now on to the Movie and TV stuff, much of which was originally supposed to be released in 2020, but got delayed due to the Pandemic. If you want to AVOID ANY KIND OF MOVIE/TV SPOILERS, then you should STOP reading here. Hasbro has pretty much said we can expect a wave of figures for the upcoming Shang-Chi: And The Legend Of The Ten Rings movie, but hasb't given us any details about what figures we will see in it. Youtuber rektangular first reported, which I have seen additional info to further confirm, the wave will include the following figures: -Shang-Chi -Civil Warrior -Death Dealer -Iron Man -Leiku Wu -Mei Ling Shang-Chi, Leiku Wu and Mei Ling are all speculated to be movie based while the rest will likely be comic based. Once again the Build-A-Figure for the wave is unknown. There should also be at least 1, though likely 2 waves of Disney+ themed Marvel figures coming in 2021. The first wave which we will likely see around June time frame is slated to include the following: - USAgent - Loki - Baron Zemo - Scarlet Witch - Vision - Winter Soldier - Captain America Captain America is likely going to be Falcon, and no word on what the Build-A-Figure will be. Finally while I don't think I have officially reported on these here, I have talked about them briefly on my YouTube channel. For you Avengers MCU fans, look for 2021 to finally give us an MCU version of both Quicksilver from Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Fat Warrior Thor from Avengers: Endgame. It's NOT ENTIRELY CLEAR to me yet, but looks like these two along with other figures will be released as some kind of sub-line that will be an extension of the previous MCU Anniversary line. Stay-tuned in the coming days for more details on this. So that's it for now. Let me know below in the COMMENTS SECTION your thoughts on the Marvel Legends line in general and what new releases are you most looking forward to in 2021?
  4. After every major Hasbro reveal event, I like to do a recap of everything we know or have a pretty good idea is coming in the line Marvel Legends line. With the Pulsecon reveals the other weekend, I thought now was as good as time as any for a new recap segment of What We Know, Think We Know And Kinda Know. We will start off with one of the reveals from Pulsecon that has already started hitting shelves. It's The Avengers Mr. Fixit Build-A-Figure wave. This wave has the Stealth Captain American and Environmental Suit Iron Man figures from the new video game, as well as comic book based figures of Kang, Thunderstrike, Falcon and Jocasta. The Mr. Fixit Build-A-Figure is also based on the video game. This wave has been hitting Target store shelves, but you can also pre-order the figures at places like our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. The official release date on these really isn't supposed to be until late October or early November. Another item announced at Pulsecon was the new Marvel Legends role-play Stormbreaker Electronic Axe. This should be out by December, and is also available for pre-order at BigBadToyStore.com. While we are on the subject of non-six-inch Marvel Legends items. We know Hasbro is launching a new line of minimal articulated 3.75" "Retro" figures. Available now exclusively on the HasbroPulse website are 2-pack featuring Captain America/Black Panther, Iron Man/Cyclops, Spider-Man/Electro. If you buy all three sets then you can also get the metallic Iron Man/Black Panther 2-pack. Hasbro says they will be launching next year an entire retail-wide line of these type of "Retro" figures on single cardbacks which will cost $10 each. The Haslab Marvel Legends Sentinel was fully funded earlier this year and will be shipping out to folks in the fall of 2021. Moving back to 6" figures, we will be seeing our first Vintage Collection Fantastic Four figure released this year. It will be a figure of Doctor Doom that will come on a cardback made to look like the old Toy Biz 5" Fantastic Four line. This will be released as a Fan-Channel exclusive. More Vintage Collection FF figures are heavily rumored to see release next year. Hasbro also continues to release more X-Men Vintage Collection figures with Rogue and Gambit. These are coming as Target store exclusives. Hasbro said at Pulsecon that these will be out in 2020. While I can't say 100%, a Target employee recently told me that these two figures would start hitting physical stores as early as the 15th of this month. According to them they will be put on a special endcap display along with more of the Storm/Thunderbird 2-packs. Just this past Monday, Hasbro officially announced their new Spider-Man Vintage Collection Black Cat figure. This is another Fan-Channel exclusive which will be out by the end of this year or early next. The figure is available for pre-order at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. The first official wave of 2021 should be the Spider-Man themed Stilt-Man Build-A-Figure wave. Hasbro partially revealed this wave at PulseCon, showing us the new Into The Spider-Verse Miles Morales and Ghost-Spider with Spider-Ham figures. Other figures for this wave they revealed included the army builder The Hand Red Ninja comic book based figure. This one will include the extender leg pieces for the Stilt-Man Build-A-Figure that they also showed. The other figures that round out this wave will most likely include Peter B. Parker and Prowler from the Into The Spider-Verse movie as well as a comic book based Frog-Man. While this wave is technically listed for 2021, we will likely start to see it hitting shelves at the end of this year. While we are on the subject of Spider-Man, we also know a new Firestar figure is in the works, which will see some kind of single release. Original reports indicated this figure would also include a pack-in of her dog Ms. Lion. Hasbro did not show that when they revealed the figure as Pulsecon, but that doesn't mean it won't be included. There is also going to be a repainted Ms. Marvel figure which is made to look like she is cosplaying as Spider-Man. This is being released through the Marvel Comics Unlimited digital subscription service. While not confirmed by Hasbro yet, we also have good indications that we will see the release of a Spider-Man Vintage Collection J. Jonah Jameson figure. This will likely be done as another Fan-Channel exclusive. Other things we know coming in 2021 include a new X-Men wave. This wave will feature House Of X/Power Of X themed characters. The figures Hasbro revealed at Pulsecon include Professor X, Magneto (white outfit) and Moira MacTaggert. At Pulsecon Hasbro suggested this wave would see release around the same time that the Haslab Sentinel starts shipping out to people. No word yet on what the Build-A-Figure for this will be. Hasbro also revealed they will be doing an All-Villains themed wave for 2021. The two figures they showed for this wave include Arcade and Dormammu. As a Deluxe release, we will also see an all-new sculpted comic book based Thanos figure. No word on if this will be an exclusive or not, but most likely it will be done as general release. Speaking of Thanos, we still don't know what to make of the charred looking arm Hasbro showed as a tease earlier this year. Coming to Walgreens and EBgames sometime in 2021 will be a new "Fallen" Silver Suffer figure, which will include Thor's Mjölnir hammer. Other items we know are coming are figures based on the MCU The Eternals movie. We've already seen a Ajak (Salma Hayek) figure leak out, which looks like will be done as some kind of one-off figure. We also saw the Deluxe Kro figure leak out just the other day, which (UPDATE) will be a general release. Besides those two, there will be a regular wave of figures released which should include movie versions of Ikaris, Sersi, Makkari, Sprite, Phastos, Kingo and Druig. No word on the Build-A-Figure for this wave, but I am still holding out hope it will be the Celestial Arishem the Judge. Another movie wave we know is one based on Shang Chi. This will likely see a mixture of comic and movie based figures. As of right now Shang Chi: And The Legend Of The 10 Rings is slated to be released on July 9, 2021. The Eternals is slated for release on November 5, 2021. I expect the release of any movie based figures from these films to be timed with those dates, assuming they don't get delayed again. So that is what we for now. More "official" reveals should be coming fairly soon from Hasbro. I also expect we will be seeing more "unofficial" reveals hitting the net very soon, so stay-tuned. As always we will do our best to keep you up-to-date with all the latest Marvel Legends happenings.
