  1. With Toy Fair only a few days away, Marvel Legends rumors continue to run wild. One that came across my desk recently, is word of a 6" scale Marvel Legends Punisher War Van. I have no real confirmation on this one, but it does sound interesting. If true, this would likely be a larger vehicle than what we have seen for the Deluxe Rider series Hasbro has been doing. Up until now, Hasbro has primarily stuck to different types of motorcycles for that line. Toy Biz did a Punsher Van for their original Marvel 5" line, which tends to fetch a pretty penny on the secondary market these days. In the 80's and 90's, a van was Frank Castle's preferred mode of transportation. Granted in the comics and even in the Spider-Man animated series it didn't feature a big Punisher logo on the side like the Toy Biz one does. If Hasbro ends up doing such a vehicle for the 6" Marvel Legends line, I assumes it will be a solid black color. I could maybe see them adding the pop-up machine gun on the top. If this rumor actually becomes a reality, I hope they stock up the back of the van with lots of usable weapons. If we could get a lot of nicely detailed weapons for Frank to use, that alone would probably make it worth getting. If this rumor turns out to be true, we will likely find out for sure on Saturday. That is when coverage of the Hasbro Toy Fair showroom will take place. Things should begin around 1:30pm ET.
  2. MCUcollector24 has gotten his hands on the new Marvel Legends 6" Stan Lee figure from Hasbro. Below are some in-hand package images for the figure. He should be getting a review up soon plus more images, so stay-tuned. You can purchase this figure from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.
  3. MCUCollector alerts us to a listing found on the Gamestop system indication that they will be carrying an exclusive Marvel Legends Hulk figure, possibly based on the upcoming Square Enix Avengers video game. We already know Hasbro is doing an Iron Man figure based on the game. We will be sure to update this story once more details become available.
  4. Hasbro today held their Q4 2019 Earnings Conference Call where CEO Brian Goldner spoke to members of the financial media. During the event there was no mention of whether Hasbro had renewed their licenses with Disney for either Star Wars or Marvel. For those not familiar, the current licenses will expire at the end of this year. While Goldner would not commit to any future plans beyond this year for those brands, or their continued releationship with Disney, he did say he remained positive on the prospects of them continuing to work together. While one would expect some kind of official announcement to come soon from either Disney or Hasbro on the future of the Star Wars and Marvel licenses, it's not terribly surprising that it did not come today. Hasbro will be holding a full Year 2019 Earnings Conference Call and Annual Investor Update at the New York Toy Fair on February 21, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. If there is no announcement at that point about continuing on with these licenses, then fans might want to start panicking.

  7. For my latest interview, I got a chance to sit down with David Vonner, who is currently a Design Manager on Mattel's WWE line of action figures. Before that David worked at Hasbro, and was the driving force behind their 3.75" Marvel Universe line. Before coming to Hasbro, David got his start making action figures at Toy Biz working on Marvel Legends and LOTR figures. We talk about all those things and more in the interview. David was at Atomic Basement Comics in Long Beach, CA during the interview. He also wanted you to know that you should support your local comic book stores.

  10. Make a list of 5 figures you would like to see Re-done based on scale and proper proportions. List 5 as to give some sense of priority. Add multiple comments in groups of 5 if you would like. (Say a Mold Hasbro already has and could use). 1. US Agent (Grim Reaper/Captain America Mold) Definitely needs to be in the same league as Captain America. 2. Magneto (Grim Reaper/Captain America mold) I know Magneto isn't always depicted as big, but I love that Jim Lee Representation. 3. Cyclops (Grim Reaper/Captain America mold) Again for the Jim Lee Representation. I think would be a good looking figure. 4. Sentry (Sunfire, Spider UK or Bucky mold) Sentry has never been as big as Thor, he never needed to be. I a revamped Sentry with new cape would be a nice addition. 5. Hawkeye (Grim Reaper/ Captain America Mold) for my Clint Barton Hawkeye anyways. I do like the current Hawkeye for my Dark Hawkeye (which if remade I would like to see on the Sunfire/Bulleye mold).
  11. Shown below via eBay is a look at Hasbro's new 12" Spider-Man Maximum Venom Captain America figure which is part of their new Blast Gear Titan Hero Series.
  12. UPDATE: Hasbro has confirmed both figures and that the Grey Suit Black Widow will be exclusive to Walmart and the White Suite will be exclusive to Target. They will be available for pre-order tomorrow (1/23) for $19.99 each. While we are still waiting for an official confirmation from Hasbro, new images have surfaced online giving us a look at what appears to be new 6" Marvel Legends comic book based Black Widow figures. While not 100% confirmed, indications the figure wearing the white outfit will be a Target exclusive and the one in the grey outfit will be exclusive to Walmart. There is a listing on Walmart.com for the grey one. Check out the images below and stay tuned for more details as they become available. Thanks to Tarot for the heads up.
  13. When I was on a toy haul earlier, I noticed that certain figures are asking $70+ on the after market?! So with that in mind, wanted to start a discussion about which figures need a re-release due to rarity etc. 90's Rogue - Gotta be able to complete the cartoon team, without taking out a mortgage on your house. 90's Jean Grey - The body they used in the Jubilee BAF wave isn't aging well. Bring the ruckus! 90's Cyclops - I hope you're noticing a trend. BAF or no, nostalgia is gonna compel people to assemble the TV suits. Iceman - Just use the Astral Dr. Strange body, keep his feet and "Icy parts" and he's done. Omega Red - Every line should have one villain. Give him some bendy coils, and no one will cry about buying another Omega. Spy Wolverine - Every X Men line needs a Wolvy (federal law, or something...) instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, give him his Weapon X/S.H.I.E.L.D. suit, with all the extra weapons and everything! Who else needs to be added to the list? Who should be removed? Who makes you list? Comment below.
  14. This custom figure was inspired by the 90's X-Men animated series version, and mainly the Fleer Ultra trading card illustration of him in mid-transition to Wolverine. A not-so-usual custom take on the character! He comes with a mid-transition alternate head and who would Morph be without his signature handgun? The packaging design is a graphic art only and does not come with the figure. 😁 If you're interested in purchasing this one-of-a-kind figure, it is up on ebay for a few days only! ebay.com/itm/401865830257 Follow @dfactionfigures on Instagram 🙂

  18. Today I take a look at the new MARVEL STUD10S First Ten Years Captain America: Civil War Movie Captain America & Crossbones Marvel Legends 6" figure 2-pack from Hasbro. You can pre-order this now at Megalopolis Toys. Check out hi-res images for this set below.
  19. Hasbro has surprised me quite a few times since taking over. Spending over 100 dollars to complete a wave was not something I ever sought out to do yet here I am head over heels for the Apocalypse wave. This wave while not perfect stood out a lot to me. What wave(s) that YOU yourself have completed stand out? What is your Wave Above All?
  20. In this segment we call Marvelous Toy Photo Of The Day, we spotlight awesome Toy Photography from some of the hottest photographers on the Internet today. For today's photo we are spotlighting Photographer Darcreign and his photos of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Modern Black Cat figure in a series titled "Bank Heist". Hasbro Marvel Legends figures are available at our sponsor Megalopolis.Toys.
  21. The first of what I am sure will be many Avengers: Endgame 6" basic figures from Hasbro has already started to hit eBay with War Machine and Ronin. On the backs of the packaging we can also see Captain Marvel, Captain America and Iron man are coming. The interesting thing to note here is the image of Iron Man shows him wearing one of those weird Avengers suits we have seen from various things that have shown up for the movie previously. If Iron Man wears this in the movie it will be interesting to see if it's done as an actual Iron Man armor or if it's just a suit he wears over his regular armor.
  22. What would you like to see at SDCC 2019? Whether it be ML, Select, anything! I personally hope to see more movie characters being made, kinda like how we're getting MJ, Peggy, and Luis. I'd LOVE to see Ultron like how he looked towards the end of his movie. Maybe Red Skull like how he appeared in IW. IW/Endgame War-Machine. Probably out of reach now but i'd also love to see the netflix characters come back like Punisher in his vest with no coat look. the all black daredevil fit. Elektra in her Defenders fit. so and so forth. I dont know what's in store for this year but it could be a very exciting one! what do you all want to see?
  23. Hasbro has revealed three new Marvel Spider-Man products ahead of New York Toy Fair inspired by the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Far From Home. 24. After every major convention event where tons of info gets thrown at you over the course of multiple days we always try to do a recap to make sure the best we can you're all caught up with information. So now that the 2019 New York Toy Fair has come to an end, lets go over what we know for Hasbro's Marvel Legends line. We already know the first waves of 2019 which includes the second Black Panther movie assortment as well as the Captain Marvel Kree Sentry Build-A-Figure and Spider-Man Kingpin Build-A-Figures are on shelves now. The 6" Hydra Supreme & Arnim Zola Figure 2-Pack has also already hit shelves. The Walgreens exclusive Mystique and Target exclusive Captain Marvel in Starforce outfit figures have already been released overseas and should soon be out here in the US followed by the Walmart Captain Marvel Binary Form figure. The Rider Series Professor X and Deadpool with Scooter have also hit in Canada and again should start seeing release here in the US any day now. The next wave due out likely will be the first wave of Marvel Legends themed Avengers figures which will be a mix of comic book based and Avengers: Endgame figures. This wave should be out towards the end of March. We know the comic book based figures for this wave will include Citizen V, Living Laser, Hercules, Nighthawk and Avengers: Infinity War Ebony Maw. As for the Endgame movie figures, there a number of RUMORS floating around such as Captain America, Ronin and a armored Thanos for the Build-A-Figure. Hasbro is embargoed from talking about Endgame so we will likely see the figures leak out onto shelves before we actually get any kind of confirmation from Hasbro on these. Following the Avengers wave should be a couple of Target Exclusive 2-Packs which are slated with April 21, 2019 release dates. The Kraven Last Hunt 2-pack we first saw back during the New York Comic Con with repainted Kraven The Hunter and Symbiote Spider-Man figures as well as the recently announced Spider-Man: Homecoming 2-Pack with MJ and Spider-Man with sports blazer. Both these sets went up for pre-order on the Target website but are currently listed as sold out. After that expect to see the first wave of X-Men figures for 2019 hit shelves. These are due out in May (though we will likely see them out earlier) and will include Skullbuster, Jim Lee Style Jubilee, Blink, Forge, Weapon X, Jim Lee style Beast and Gambit. The Build-A-Figure for this wave will be Caliban. This wave went up for pre-order this past weekend at places like Megalopolis.Toys. While we don't know for sure, we suspect the next things we will see hit shelves will be the first X-Force wave of 2019 and second Spider-Man wave. We know the X-Force wave will include Guardian, Boom Boom with gum (gum not shown), Cannonball with blast effect, Nightcrawler with non-bendy-wire tail and Mr. Sinister. There should be two more figure announced for this wave and we suspect the Build-A-Figure will be Mr. Sinister. One of the final figures for this wave which strangely was not mentioned this weekend might be the Wendigo we saw last year at the Canadian Fan Expo, though that seems like a Build-A-Figure candidate as well. Honestly I totally forgot about Wendigo during the Hasbro Toy Fair event or I would have asked them about it there. Also I know some are annoyed about Cannonball not having actual legs. I saw nothing indicating alternate legs would be included with the figure, but I also did not actually confirm with Hasbro he would not include them. Lets hope Hasbro does add legs with the figure along with the blast effect piece. For the second wave of Spider-Man based figures we know for sure that this wave will include two figures from the new Spider-Man: Far From Home movie with Spider-Man in his updated regular suit and Stealth Suit Spider-Man. For comic figures we will see Classic Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman, Doppelganger Spider-Man, Hydro-Man with removable puddle feet and alternate water arms and Scorpion with 13" bendy wire tail and new sculpt. There is likely 2 more figures for this wave yet to be revealed. My guess is at least one will be a movie figure of Mysterio, but we will have to see. If any of the figures that have already been revealed for the wave are the Build-A-Figure, the likely candidate would be Hydro-Man. We could also conceivably see the second Avengers themed wave hit around this time as well which will likely be during that summer time frame. This wave we know will include the Black Panther Movie Shuri as well as comic book based figures of Loki, Beta-Ray Bill, Union Jack and Serpent Society member Rock Python. It's unknown if this will be a six figure wave plus Build-A-Figure or 7 figure wave plus Build-A-Figure. If we go by last year's Avengers figures as an indicator then it would be a six figure wave which would mean the two figures left to reveal, one of which being the Build-A-Figure, that I am guessing will be Endgame based. For the Marvel Legends Rider Series look for World War II Ultimates Captain America with motorcycle. For fans of the Premium Role Play line, look for a new Ant-Man helmet which will feature 2 LED light modes and will have an adjustable fit option. There is also another Deadpool Nerf blaster coming to Gamestop which will be done in grey X-Force colors. Besides the normal Marvel Legends waves, their will be several sub-lines released this year. Continuing in the tradition of last year's Toy Biz tribute wave to the classic 5" figures, they will now do a tribute wave for the classic Toy Biz 5" X-Men figures as well. This wave will include 6 figures, 4 of which were revealed this past weekend. Those where Cyclops in blue and white X-Factor outfit and optic blast effect, Patch (Wolverine), Silver Samurai and Dazzler in 90's blue outfit. These will come in special cardbacks re-creating the packaging from the old Toy Biz line. There will also be an extension for last year's MCU 10th Anniversary line. Same thing minus the 10th Anniversary logo since it would now be the 11th Anniversary. This will feature Captain America: The First Avenger Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter which will see release as a Amazon exclusive. Avengers: Infinity War Loki and Corvus Glaive which will be released as a Walmart exclusive. Then for General release we will see Avengers: Infinity War Iron Man Mark 50 with floating cannons, shield and arm cannons, along Iron Spider-Man with mechanical arms. For Thor Ragnarok look for 2-Packs of an updated Hela with Scourge and Grandmaster with Korg. Finally for Ant-Man and the Wasp look for a 2-pack featuring The Ghost and Louis (Michael Pena) with shrunk down Pym building. The final sub-line for the year will be celebrating 80 years of Marvel comics and feature 2-Packs of 1st Appearance Wolverine with Hulk and Juggernaut with Jim Lee style Colossus. Juggernaut will come with an alternate beat up face headsculpt and cracked helmet. Single packs for this lines will include Alex Ross versions of Iron Man, Thor and Captain America with sculpted chainmail. Cap will be released as a Walmart exclusive. These will come in special packaging featuring comic book artwork on it. If that all wasn't enough, a few additional store exclusives have been announced which includes an Amazon exclusive Brotherhood of Evil Mutants 3-pack featuring Magneto, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. This is currently available for pre-order with a release date of 7/1/19 listed. For Walgreens we will see the Infamous Iron Man (Dr. Doom) and Emma Frost in black outfit released later this year. So that's it for now. We still have no word on what this years San Diego Comic Con exclusive will be or if Hasbro will do anything for Haslab. There is also a number of additional reveals that will come during SDCC and other conventions towards the end of the year. Is you wallet ready and what are you looking most forward to? Let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION. Check out our complete GALLERY of images for all the products Hasbro had out on display during Toy Fair below.
