Extreme Carnage Coming To Marvel Comics In July

Phage. Scream. Lasher. Riot. Agony. This July, the five Life Symbiotes will face their greatest challenge yet, courtesy of their big bad older brother: Carnage. The saga will kick off in EXTREME CARNAGE ALPHA #1 by Eisner-nominated writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson(Alien). The Life Foundation symbiotes have always tried to reconcile the sometimes-noble intentions of their hosts with the often-bloodthirsty impulses of the symbiotes. But the Life Foundation symbiotes aren’t the only symbiotes who find themselves reinvented after KING IN BLACK and Carnage has plans for his younger siblings. “After King in Black, everything we thought we knew about the symbiotes will have changed. Every man, woman, and child in the Marvel Universe will finally understand the massive threat the symbiotes represent, and the symbiotes that are still among us are now in the crosshairs of some extremely angry, scared, and powerful forces,” Johnson explained. “In the pages of EXTREME CARNAGE, we’ll not only explain what Carnage is in this new, post-King in Black era, but also see a return-to-form for the deadliest symbiotes that have ever lived while putting them on a lethal new path for the future.” And there’s much more Carnage to come. Maximum Carnage Fine Art Statue From Kotobukiya

The malicious and destructive Carnage from Spider-Man returns to the FINE ART STATUE line. The intense carving and details in the face of this creature combined with the madness that can only be recreated to the highest level of degree through cold cast exemplifies a level of finish that greatly exceeds the last statue in the FINE ART STATUE line. A deadly symbiotic attack from Carnage is fully recreated with the steel sharp tendrils emerging from its body. These five tendrils can be exchanged with normal symbiote tendrils included with this statue to recreate other various looks and poses. Users can thus fully experience the sheer volume that is brought about by this 1/6 scale statue. While this statue by itself is already full of impact as it shows a scene of Carnage attacking from the top of a crumbling building on the brink of collapse, but by using the included expansion base, users can also attach ARTFX Venom to this statue to recreate the battle between the two symbiotes. The intense battle scene from the legendary crossover comic “MAXIMUM CARNAGE” is brought to life through the supreme quality of the FINE ART STATUE series in this voluminous “Maximum Statue”! Sony today released the second full trailer for their upcoming Venom movie which gives us a really good look at Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) as Venom. The trailer also reveals at least a second symbiote (third if you count what looks a like a female who turns here arm into a bladed weapon for a split second in the trailer) which we think might be Carnage. He sports the axe like hands we often see Carnage use but he does not appear to be red, so we can't say for sure. He definitely seems to be the movies main bad guy. The trailer sports quit a bit of action and seems to be heading for a 'R' rating, but overall I am not sure if I like this take on the Eddie Brock charter which seems to be displaying more characteristics on par with Peter Parker than Brock himself. I will try and keep an open mind but not having Spider-Man involved in the character's origin seems like a missed opportunity, but that being said I am liking this more than the original Spider-Man 3 version of Venom. Check out some screencaps from the trailer below and let us know what you think about the movie after seeing this new trailer. Venom opens in theaters on October 5.
