  1. 2020 has just begun, and the year is already shaping up to be another big year for Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line of 6” action figures. Toy Fair is less than a month away (2/22), and we thought we would attempt to break down everything we know, what we think we know and what we kinda know is coming out this year. What we know: The first Fantastic Four and Spider-Man waves of the year are already out on shelves. They actually started hitting shelves at the end of last year, but I think technically they are considered 2020 releases. The first Walgreens exclusive of the year, the Stepford Cuckoos Sisters has also started hitting shelves now. The first Ultimate Marvel Legends Rider Wave with Squirrel Girl and Cosmic Ghost Rider has also started hitting shelves now. The X-Men: Vintage Collection Storm in black outfit has also started hitting stores now. If you haven't caught up, you can purchase all of these minus the Walgreens exclusive at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. The next wave of regular figures which is based on the Black Widow movie and comics, is slated for release in late February/March. This wave includes movie versions of Taskmaster, Black Widow (black costume), Red Guardian and Yelena Belova, as well as comic versions of Winter Soldier, Spymaster and Crossbones. The Build-A-Figure is Crimson Dynamo. In February/March we will be getting a Target exclusive comic based Black Widow in white outfit and a Walmart exclusive version of the character in Grey. In March/April we will see a Deluxe Black Widow movie figure released featuring Natasha in her white outfit. Also in March/April, we will see the release of the new Marvel Legends Stan Lee figure. What we think we know: This next segment goes over things we know some about or have a pretty good idea is coming, but NOT necessarily 100% confirmed by Hasbro. Starting things off we have a wave of X-Force themed figures coming. We know for fact this wave will include figures of Warpath, Sunspot, Deadpool (Blue-X-Men Outfit) and a Strong Guy Build-A-Figure. There should be at least 3 more regular figures, possibly four that Hasbro has yet to reveal. The release date on this wave is not totally known either, but likely a April/May time frame. We also know Hasbro has an X-Men: Age of Apocalypse wave in the works for this year, which should be out in May. We don’t yet know what the Build-A-Figure for this wave will be, but we know the regular figures that are coming. The wave will consist of Dark Beast, Weapon X, Jean Grey, Morph, Nathan Summers, Wild Child and Sunfire. We are pretty sure there is at least 1 (maybe 2) Avengers themed waves coming this year, which will contain figures based on the upcoming Square Enix Avengers video game. We know for fact that Hasbro is doing an Iron Man figure for the game, which they officially announced last October. Other figures rumored for this wave include video game versions of Captain America and Kamala (Ms. Marvel), as well as comic versions of Mach-1, Rage, Leader and Captain Mar-vell. If this wave includes a Build-A-Figure, we have no word on what it might be at this time. It should be reiterated that other than Iron Man, none of these figures have been confirmed by Hasbro. A listing for a Gamestop exclusive Hulk figure recently showed up in the Gamestop computers. Most suspect this figure will also be based on the Square Enix video game, but again that is not confirmed. What we kinda know: For this final segment, we bring you this generalized list of stuff that has been discovered in various distributor listings or retail computers. None of these are confirmed by Hasbro. These listings also tend to be so generalized or use codenames that we really don’t have much in the way of specific details about what is actually being released. This really is more to just give you an idea of how much stuff is likely in the pipeline. Thanks to JTPrime for a heads up on many of these. - E8713 Avengers Legends Exclusive “Mechanic” (Mechanic is a codeword, not the actual figure name, and indications are this will be released very soon.) - 4 new Fan Channel exclusives - E74555L01 "Marvel Legends" (Vehicle assortment 2) - E73475L01 ( Avengers game Assortment 2) "Marvel Legends" - Venom 2020 Wave - Eternals 2020 Wave So there you have it, what we know, think we know and kinda know for 2020 so far. If last year was any indication, this is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Be sure to check out MarvelousNews on Saturday, February 22 for our complete coverage of the Hasbro Marvel reveals at the New York Toy Fair.

  8. UPDATE: Hasbro has confirmed both figures and that the Grey Suit Black Widow will be exclusive to Walmart and the White Suite will be exclusive to Target. They will be available for pre-order tomorrow (1/23) for $19.99 each. While we are still waiting for an official confirmation from Hasbro, new images have surfaced online giving us a look at what appears to be new 6" Marvel Legends comic book based Black Widow figures. While not 100% confirmed, indications the figure wearing the white outfit will be a Target exclusive and the one in the grey outfit will be exclusive to Walmart. 9. Last week fans were treated to the first trailer for Sony's upcoming Morbius: The Living Vampire solo movie which is due out this coming July. Sony isn't the only one looking to go in a bit darker direction with their Marvel movies. Marvel Studios themselves have announced a new Blade movie featuring the #1 Vampire Hunter himself as well as a new Moon Knight series for Disney+ So could these new darker films that often dabble in the world of horror and monsters usher in a new era of 6" Marvel Legends figures based on those characters? Hasbro already in recent years has given us comic book versions of Moribus, Blade and others such as Brother Voodo, Man-Thing and various Ghost Rider figures. We are even getting a Cosmic Ghost Rider which is starting to hit shelves now. But will we see more characters like those get the action figure treatment? While you might not immediately associate characters such as Dracula, The Wolfman, Frakienstein and the Living Mummy with the likes of Marvel Comics, they are actually characters that have appeared in the Marvel Universe and even at one point or another have had their own comic book titles. Now I don't know exactly what kind of licensing issues come into play when you are talking about these characters, and perhaps making Marvel Legends action figures of them isn't possible? Marvel certainly didn't create these classic characters, but it's not unprecedented to see them in Marvel Legends form. Toy Biz back in 2006 released a 6" Marvel Legends boxset featuring Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolf By Night and a Zombie. This of course was back around the time when the original Wesley Snipes Blade movies were super popular and had helped push the horror genre back in the spotlight. So now with the new upcoming movies coming from both Sony and Marvel Studios, could we see something similar from Hasbro and would you as a collector be interested in seeing it? What characters would you like to see Hasbro do for this genre, let us know in the COMMENTS SECTION!

  12. Having been mentioned ina couple of other threads. Iron Man could easily have his own wave (or two or three). After all, the Iron Monger wave to tie-in with Iron Mna 3 got me back into MArvel legends. A couple of rules though. Keep it to six or seven figures Since this is an Iron Man wave, there has to be at least two Iron Men armours As well as Iron Man friends and enemeies, Avengers and their foes will be allowed So with those established get suggesting
  13. Would you be interested in an all female wave? Who would you pick for the wave? 1. Mantis (comic version) 2. Tigra 3. She-hulk (Fantastic Four) 4. Storm (Giant sized X-Men) 5. Red Gaurdian (Female version (Defenders)) 6. Dark Ms. Marvel (Dark Avengers) 7. Morgan Le Fay BAF-Nimrod

  15. With the AOA reveals complete barring the BAF, the question is, who should the BAF be. Personally I would like it to be Apocalypse (It is his wave :D) or Holocaust
  16. With a new F4 wave being revealed, hopefully it will be the first of many. So who would you like to see in wave 2. A couple of rules though. Keep it to six figures Since we don't know the BAF of the first wave, you don't need to include a BAF As well as F4 Members, Allies and Enemies, Future Foundation, Fantastic Force, Inhumans and Black Panther characters are also allowed So with those established get suggesting
  17. With scene-fillers like Skullbuster and Rock Python being made, the door is open for any Marvel character to be made into a figure. So for fun, make a wave full of nothing but nobodies. The more obnscure the better.

  19. After Paris and London we have two more conventions this weekend. LUCCA COMICS & GAMES: Friday, November 1, 12:15pm – 2:00pm (6:15am ET) MANGA BARCELONA: Saturday, November 2, 4:30pm – 5:50pm (10:30am ET) With more reveals hinted out. What would you like to see? Keep in mind both will probably have two figure reveals each, if last weekend's reveals were done. So a maximum of 4 figures
  20. I know it would be easy to repaint the Endgame War Machine into Iron Patriot colors but do you think knowing Hasbro we will get a repaint of the ML Endgame War Machine figure in the future?
  21. So at SDCC ‘19 they showed two new Legends based off of skins and suits from the 2019 PS4 Spider-Man game. These are a part of the next wave of Spider-Man Legends, due to be out January of 2020 so in all likelihood they’ll be out late November. These two PS4 themed figures will be the third the game after the GameStop exclusive spidey. My question is this: is Hasbro handling this extremely successful game the wrong way? We already witnessed them miss out on the massive success of Into the Spider-Verse, and now they seem to be letting this title slip them by as well. Wouldn’t it be better to maybe make a wave dedicated to the game? Include characters like Rhino and Doc Ock and then include various suits and skins that exist outside of the game. I hate to see them miss out on potential success once again.

  24. I just wanted to start a conversation to see if anyone else is as pumped up as I am about the upcoming Thor BAF wave for Marvel Legends. I gotta get my hands on that Iron Man at least, not only do I love the way he looks but he comes with way more accessories than I've ever seen for a Marvel Legend! XD
