First let us start off debunking a rumor that started floating around the net yesterday. It's in regards to this image of what appeared to be packaging for an upcoming WandaVision Minimates 2-Pack . The image depicts what appears to be an unannounced set featuring Wanda and Marvel's own devil character known as Mephisto. We reached out to Zach Oat at Diamond Select Toys who make the Minimates who confirmed for us THIS IMAGE IS NOT a Diamond Select Toys product. I am sure WandaVision Minimates will be coming at some point, but don't count on this being one of them. Many have speculated since almost day one of the show airing that Mephisto might be the mastermind behind the scenes pulling Wanda's strings. In large part this theory of Mephisto being involved is due to storyline in the Marvel Comics that played itself out in West Coast Avengers #52 In the comics, a character named Master Pandemonium made a pact with Mephisto to regain his limb that he had lost. In typical devil-like fashion Mephisto replaced all his limbs with demonic grafts which gave him the ability command the demons inside him. Mephisto also created hole in his chest that looked like a five-pointed star. Each part of the star represented a piece of Pandemonium's fragmented soul which he was now tasked with going out and reclaiming. Two of those fragments ended up being the children of Vision and Scarlet Witch. Eventually Pandemonium was successful in reclaiming all 5 fragments. Once he did that a "black hole" within himself formed and Mephisto emerged. Mephisto then revealed his evil plan that he tricked Pandemonium into reclaiming the fragments which were actually his own fragmented essence that had been previously split in a battle with Franklin Richards, who is the son of Fantastic Four members Reed and Sue Richards. Whether anything like that ends up playing out in the WandaVision Disney+ series remains to be seen, but the FAKE Minimates image is definitely NOT A HINT to that. In other WandaVision news, Elizabeth Olsen in an interview with TVLine.com teased that the show would be having it's own Mandalorian like Luke Skywalker moment sometime this season. In the season 2 finale last year of The Mandalorian which is a Star Wars based show also airing on Disney+, fans were surprised with the appearance of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalkwer who was played by Mark Hamill with the help of some CGI effects. How exactly that could translate to something in WandaVision is really not clear. Many speculate we might see the return of Wanda's brother Quicksilver who died at the end of the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, or perhaps another Avenger from the movies will end up making an appearance. Whatever it ends up being, I am sure we will see tons of Internet theories pop up online between now and the shows season finale, and probably all of them will be wrong.
