I debated on Magik but ended up preordering her. I like this outfit... At least it is the one I associate with magik. But this new one has a better head sculpt and will probably look nice next to Kitty and Colossus. The Maximum Thor looks great. Only thing I would want is a Spinning hammer effect. I mean, come on. It's right there they could have reused it. Also if we get a new Mole Man? Hopefully it means a new updated Comic FF is around the corner.

You do the lord's work! Dayum! Thanks! So that was a pretty solid stream imo. There are definitely a few standouts. The must haves for me are... Falcon Daredevil Emma (diamond) Onslaught Maximum Thor Magik I am not sure. This one looks great. But I also kind of like that current outfit. I don't have either at present. So I may go with this one which looks to have a better headsculpt. That Falcon will pair nicely with Secret Wars Cap. Even with Gamerverse Cap I expect. I don't have a Falcon yet so...no brainer. Classic Red Daredevil? Hell yes. (Do not have a comic DD either at present). Quicksilver/Widow. (I do not have a quicksilver. The Family Matters 3 pack is...kind of expensive. So I may go with this...and I just got the 60th Widow lmao. Still this one has a different headsculpt.) Do not have Onslaught but a Target exclusive? ...damn. Muse and Bullseye I may wait and see if they get a discount. Maximum Thor looks fantastic. Bendy Wire/posable cape? Yes please. He has a decent number of appropriate and usable accessories. The real miss for me is that Venomized Spidey. It's a unique interpretation. But I have comic and black suit spideys (plenty of them already). Like @tarot said, I could see him being great for stop motion. Sculpt and everything look great. Just not sure I need him. @tarot So there is supposed to be a Witch and Vision 2pk? I was debating getting that Void BAF Vision, but maybe I will just wait. (Need a Black Panther and Hawkeye too). Also see what you mean about the black lines. I am guessing some rubbing alchohol could remove them? Probably just bare red plastic?

Honestly? Even the 20% markup? that would be around $81. So if someone is in the US and couldn't find it and really wanted it? If I was in the position where i didn't have it or couldn't find it? I'd sooner pay the markup to toysnowman than some reseller on E-bay where you could expect $100-$120. I wouldn't mind a 2nd Psylocke...expressly to make an Elektra custom maybe? But it's too cost prohibitive. Im hoping they just reissue it as a single release or the same buck.

Depends, I suppose. I am sure you could still sell the other and recoup some of the cost. Someone somewhere doesn't have one or the other or both. Even at $60 for the two-pack, it's still cheaper than the $90-100 SHF. Saw someone trying to sell Gamerverse Thanos for $80 lol. Lowest I saw was $27. Silver Samurai I've seen between $18-27 on e-bay etc. To your point, there are a lot of them. I was fine paying the $60 as I didn't have a Thanos or Samurai, and I do kind of want a MvC Display. But I understand if people just wanted Psylocke or Wolverine.

((Seems like Hasbro took feedback on the lackluster Spider-Man set to heart. I filled out the survey they sent out, noting that the Spider-Man set lacked stuff for new players. I highlighted that the starter Spider-Man decks were kind of a disappointment because new players might be surprised to find that those starter decks feature cards that aren't even legal in standard. And the Jumpstarts aren't either. )) Also, have to give them a bit of credit here in that a lot of these products have more accessible price points. The Scene Box is kind of tailored toward collectors. You build a scene. You can still play with them of course (in commander but not likely playable in standard). But it's more of a 'fan' tailored thing to appreciate the artwork. There are two scene boxes... Heroes United and Villains Unleashed. They are borderless cards meant to fit together. They would look nice in a binder. The Draft Night Bundle is $120. It's designed with 4 players in mind and has 12 play boosters, one collector booster, and 90 lands. The Gift Bundle is $90 and comes with one collector booster and likely the same 9 play boosters that come with the standard "bundle," which is $70. Commander Decks are 100-card decks designed around the "commander" format, where a legendary card serves as your "commander". All the cards in the deck have to adhere to the same color identity as your commander. So, for example? The Doom Prevails Commander Deck is a Grixis Blue, Black, and Red deck. Personally, if you were going to get any of the commander decks? I'd either go for the Doom Prevails or Avengers Assemble (Jeskai) Red, White and Blue. The reason being is I expect those will be the ones that are more sought after at least initially. The Cloud Commander Deck from FF has held its price around $72-75. The Tidus, Terra and Y'shtola decks have dropped in price. I could see the same happening to FF and Black Panther where they drop in price. (that's speculation on my part). You typically can't use cards from a Commander Precon in standard, however you can use standard cards in Commander. Two different formats. As for your Collector boosters and Boxes? I won't yuk someone's yum. Buy what you like. But I think Collector boosters are a huge money pit, and you are unlikely to get out of them what you spend on them. (The commander precons typically have a collector booster sample). That is just me having seen a lot of unboxings and openings of them. They promise these special foil treatments and stuff. But you have to get incredibly lucky to get a highly desired pull. They had the serialized Chocobo or the "One Ring" Or the "Soul Stone". These cards are "chase cards" but you are very unlikely to actually pull them. IF you want fancy cards? Secret Lair is probably a better option. Or heck, even those Scene boxes personally. ______________________ TLDR: If you are looking to learn how to play/start? As someone who has returned to Magic? I can offer a few pieces of advice from personal experience. If you are interested in these but have never played Magic? Your best bet is going to be to look at that Beginner Box. It's $40. A bit more than the $20 FF MTG starter set. But it has two decks ready to go. I am not too familiar with Jump Start, but it has some of those as well. They seem to be especially tailored to beginners with smaller decks. These jumpstarts are essentially take two packs, shuffle them together to make a 40-card deck, and you are ready to go. I think this may be new to Magic? At least I haven't seen it until this set. (Googled it, they have appeared before, back in 2020, and with Foundations). The 60 card decks in the beginner box should be standard legal. If you want a good number of packs to crack open and jumpstart your binder collection? The standard or gift bundle would be my recommendation. Sometimes it pays to wait. Don't give into the fomo just because you want a specific card. A lot of the FF cards have dropped in price considerably. And my last piece of advice? Crack some packs and have fun. See what you pull. But when you reach a point where you start pulling multiple copies of several different cards and get little that you didn't already have? It's then time to buy singles. And to @JayC 's comment? I think we can fully expect more MTG crossovers. A MTG Cap? MTG Black Panther? MTG Hulk?

I know people may ding the legends for being in a 2 pack. But that 2 pack is also only $60 versus $100 for one figure. Samurai may have his own issues. But you still get 2 figures at a cheaper price. Split the difference and you are getting Wolverine for $30 versus $100. And I have to be honest, I've never liked the way SHF cuts the crotch/pelvis. It looks like Wolverine is wearing a thong. And the arm hair just looks awful IMO.

Spider-Man’s Global Streaming Future Announced
LoneWolfSones replied to ShawnDK's topic in Marvelous News's General Area
So my understanding of the rights (as just some rando on the net), is as follows... Sony owns the movie rights and rights to the Insomniac games. Marvel/Disney still retains rights to the character, particularly comics, TV (that friendly neighborhood Spidey show on D+ iirc), merchandise like toys, etc. The thing is we have history to kind of illustrate this as well. Sony had the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy with Avi Arad kind of calling the shots which is where it went off the rails. Avi Arad insisted on Venom being in Spider-Man 3 because he was a toy guy. And to his credit? At least he owned up to the mistake... https://comicbook.com/marvel/news/venom-producer-avi-arad-spider-man-3-accepts-blame/ At the time (to my understanding) Sony had merchandising rights to Spider-Man. So Sony was still profiting from the toys. They rebooted Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield with TASM1. Apparently, the contractual deal was that Sony must produce a new Spider-Man film every 5 years and 9 months. So from Spider-Man 3 to TASM1 was 5 years. TASM2 (according to Google), would have been against this deadline, but really they had already put out TASM1 so that 5 year 9 month window would have been from TASM1. And it was something like 2 years between TASM 1 and TASM2. After TASM2's performance underwhelmed to expectation, Sony sought to renegotiate, and in the deal to share Spider-Man with the MCU? Sony retained the profit of the films. While they, in turn, ceded the merchandising rights back to Disney/Marvel. https://qz.com/1020387/spider-man-is-back-in-the-marvel-universe-but-the-film-studio-wont-get-a-penny-of-the-profits I believe if Sony doesn't make a Spidey film within that window? The film rights go back to Marvel/Disney. But it also may explain why we see different packaging on certain MCU Spidey figures. It's weird though, that Garfield is the odd one out when you consider Tobey Maguire's Raimi films were Sony-produced as well. Even the Molina Doc Ock and Dafoe Goblin legends figures kind of use packaging design that was derived from No Way Home. But it explains why Sony has also been messing the bed with ill-conceived spinoff films. They feel like they are being made explicitly to retain the movie rights. TLDR: at the end of the day, I don't really care what streaming platform it hits first, as I will likely have already seen it in theater. It sounds like these Spidey films will hit Disney+, just not first? I still prefer physical media for films I really care about and want to watch again. (collect steelbooks too). Though the price on those is going up as well. I skipped Madame Webb and Kraven because they didn't look like they would be good. -
I will be picking him up. You can definitely tell it's an older Wesley Snipes (which of course it is since this is based on the film). His face looks a bit thinner / more gaunt. The head with the glasses off just looks a bit...odd? But hey, at least you can remove them, unlike a certain Electro figure. Still I feel if a person wants a young Snipes head? You can find all kinds of custom heads if you decide to go that route. The painted one above is $17 or so painted. But ships from China. So you would likely have tax, duties/tarriffs on there as well. Plus you always have that risk of something happening or going wrong where it is a pain to get support. The Mezco Arnold Toht Jacket worked good on the Born Again Punisher. Probably would work for Blade too.

Nice that the sculpted the shoulder spacers to look torn on this one. Still wish they had included the Jackman head. I already have the Jackman head...but it still would have been nice for people that didn't pick up the first release. I have not, but the arms themselves are easy enough to swap. Heat them up in hot water and raise them so that you are using the collar bone as a bit of a fulcrum and the shoulder pops right out. I put sleeveless arms on my other one...but I may take them off and put the sleeved arms back on since we will have this one.

At least the best John Byrne Brown and tan suit. We have had others. Secret Wars, was more orange/yellow for example. I think the closes "comic" brown and tan we have is probably the one in the 97 storm 2 pack? All Legends should be using ball jointed waists. But this figure looks good enough to where I feel I don't need the Mafex.

$55.99 on BBTS Same on Amazon. I purchased it on BBTS. The $4 flat rate shipping is nice for pile of loot. I have a few things sitting in there right now waiting to ship. But can't beat free shipping on Amazon. If you do preorder on Amazon if the price drops you get the lower price so that's good at least. I still think they will pair well with stuff like Gamerverse, and other X-men figures beyond the Astonishing. I don't mind mixing and matching suits.
