  • Hasbro will never pass up the chance to make a MTO Sentinel lol. Even if Bastion is only half-sentinel.

  • Absolutely 0 reason this should be MTO!!!! And all but 2 MTOs are Sentinals. Please! We said teams or 4 packs, not slightly souped up 2 packs guys. Not even gonna think twice about this one.

  • it's even worse. of the 6 of them, 4 of them have been x-men. I mean I know the X-men are a big thing but there is so many character from different sides of the Marvel Universe.   That being

very disappointed in this AS A MTO. this should have just been a regular 2-pack. The only reason I can think that it's a MTO is because Bastion was a Haslab figure and they wanted to continue it like that.

I will be getting because we may never get a comic Bolivar but still...... meh.

That being said..... this does open up multi-packs to the MTO model.

I wasn't really ever going to get this or watch '97 so they shouldn't listen to me I guess.  But Bolivar Trask looks absurd with his shirt untucked. Who walks around like that while wearing a tie and lab coat?

to be fair at this time he was either capture by Master Mold or working under Bastion in a lab not being allowed to leave.

Fair enough I guess.

It reminded me of Mandarin's action tie look. Just an element of someone thinking too hard (or too little) about clothing. 🙂

I could maybe, MAYBE see this at the $50.00 + mark, but $74.00?? Not hardly.

Seriously, this is too much for 2 figures. What a joke. I get that the war in Iran involves worldwide oil stoppages and higher oil costs, and that Legends are made with plastic that is oil-based, but the rapidly increasing prices are going up and will never come down.

I’m going to vote with my money and not give in to Hasbro on this one. Seeing lots of folks agreeing on Reddit, too.

Paaaassssss. I don't think it's a great thing either that the characters they feel won't do great on the main market are just made to order now.

It's such a joke. You know I'm ironically getting priced out of Legends, not just because of the vapid price increase, but because of the quality. If they proportionally increased their quality, I would pay the new "$29.99" and even this ridiculous ass 2-pack price if it were warranted. But it hasn't, and most likely never will. Shameful really. Rarely even get excited for one these days.

I kinda like the idea of made to order sets, it may be the only way to finish off the Vol 1 Avengers woth guys like Dr Druid, D Man, Stingray or Swordsman.

But in that world is two 6" figures worth +$75 ?!?

This is truly for the die hard X fanand good on them of they want to spend it, but i not so secretly hope this comes in way lower than Hasbro expects.. then maybe they'll come to their senses on these prices

I'm getting tired of mto if all we are going to get are x men related stuff. Too much x men for me...and the price really takes you out of it. I want to see figures that we have been asking for years on these boards but never see.

It sucks to see the prices go up, but prices have gone up on everything else, so we should expect the same would happen to our hobby. That being said, I would like to see multiple head sculpts and accessories for the extra buck...and ever figure could come with an extra Skrull version of the head sculpt for that character - easy way to please fans!

I don't mind the cost. I don't love the cost of things going up, and like all consumers if I can choose to pay less fomr somethign of equal or lessor quality i will, but its an economic reality today. Everyone says we are getting less than we used to and I dont fully agree. Today we are getting (almost) entirely pinless joints-- this is tooling money. We are getting the absolute best head sculpts in the marvel 1:12 figure market. We are getting vastly improved accesories more frequently (again this is tooling dollars even if the plastic itself is cheap). Everybody laments the old days when figures like the walgreens Magik was packed out, but was she really? She has a dragon we'd had a few times before, the crappy flexible lighting bits,  the same sword power wrap effect we always got and the those spiral power pieces that gove over wrists. I'd aruge the only turely unique piee was her soul sword. How many figures came with those stupid power effects that were circles with points: Dazler, Jubilee, Scarlet Witch, Dr Strange and countless others. How about those stupid globual spirals that came with Magneto, Havoc, Polaris... yes you got more by volume, but it was in my opinion, inferior to the new Encantress effect, the force field that comes with sue storm, the new Maxmim Thor lighting, Jubilee's firework effect, or how about those really awesome effects with the gamerverse Psylocke? I would say overall (there are exceptions) on average the accsories while less, are actually a vast improvement. While extra hands and heads are nice and provide flexability and choice, if we're actually honest with ourselves, most of its ends up in baggies or storage anyway. I would also say headsculpts are a vast improvement and show an investiment in new technology since the $19.99 days, just in detail alone let alone shading. I keep hearing arguements about getting less for more and I don' fully agree. I uderstand expense, and in this economy, and being forced ot make choices. Those to me are entirely differnt arguements. I recognize there are exceptions, X-Men 97 Rougue was bad, but the tooling dollars for the line were allocated elsewhere and honestly, I'd rather have her than not. Frankly, people regualrly pay $35 for McFarlene figures which are objectively inferior in near everyway. People spend 3x-4x $29.99 for imports like Mafex which are more delicate and headsculps arent that detailed. Given economic relaitites and the fact Hasbro is a business, I'd say we are still getting the best cross section of value to quality we can.  Supply and demand dictates if prices go up, demand goes down- thats a reality of people choosing to allocate scares resources differntly and the product lacking perceived value. If you no longer perceive value in Legends thats ok and a natural behavior, but that is seperate from a quality arguement and the two should not be conflated as one.

That said, I don't see a real issue with $75 for the Bastion-Trask made to order two pack, given the unique tooling and sculpt. Bastion would be sold solo for $49.99, $39.99 at the very least but Archangel is a stright repaint no new tooling-- thats means i get a Trask (who I have actually wanted) for $25. Or I accept the reality figures are going to be $29.99 and if that's what Trask costs me, I get Bastion for $45.00. I look at this and I don't see a massive cost issue. Keep in mind many some of these parts like Bastion's wings will have limited reuse oppertunitites menaing Hasbro can't recoup its investment over time. It has to do so all at once. That's just economics.

The economic reality Hasbro has to contend with (and us as collectors) is the ripple effect of price increases. As Hasbro rasies prices, casual collectors and kids who buy at volume will sharply drop off. This lowers demand making Hasbro want to supply less, which will evnetually trickle down to the number of figures released per year. That in turn will also push prices up (less supply= higher price). We are going to be in this cycle for a while until a new market equlibrium is met. Everyone is quick to blame Hasbro but they are a business that feel economic pressures just like us and is acountable to shareholders. Thats a reality.  I stuggle to think of a business or industry that lowers prices in times of economic uncertainty, and while I don't like it--I don't blame Hasbro for this behavior--just liek I don't balme anyone for not buying it. This is everywhere. I go to the grocery store and pay more for the same or less oranges, this is no different. I can ultimately choose to still buy Oranges accepting i will recieve the same or less for more, or switch to strawberries. Please understand I am not criticizing anyoen for saying they will no longer buy legends because of the cost, I am chalalnging the idea that we are receiving less quality for more money. I would argue quality has only ncreased since the $19.99 days.

€100 for two figures is a lot. I would have just prefered Bastion on his own. I might get this, I'll have to wait and see

spacer.pngHmmm, okay so this is the lastest MTO, and well, gotta say I'm not very impressed with this offering, this doesn't need to be an MTO at all, why? , also sorry This just pretty much made me close the door, a 2 pack for roughly give or take 132 CAD, yeah not really, thanks, I mean this might be the only chance for me to have a Bolivar Trask or Bastion, but these are not Comic, while they can probably pass (I guess), I mean Bastion more then Trask, but yet again, I don't care about animated figures, if this was a comic 2 pack I would likely bite the really offensive price, but not for this animated business, also like Why? I can't, what happened to being cool and giving us Mangog, they always play so safe, and pretty much every MTO is sentinel based/X-Men 97 , like I get it, it's hot, but how about something for everyone else.

Anyways I think I just gotta say NO to this. Price seems iffy, I just can't see how this is MTO worthy and why it's priced as high as it is, You could have just put both these characters in an X-Men 97 wave Bruh?, It's Animated...so bottom line I think that's enough for me to say byeeeee.

During today's NYCC 2026 Hasbro showcased products inspired by Magic the Gathering x Marvel Legends. Also shown it appears a new Spider-man is in the display as well, for a possible glimpse into Wave 3?

except some sort of Animated Spidey, I cannot for the life of me figure out what it's supposed to represent.

OG Ultimate Spider-Man somewhat based on Mark Bagley art makes the most sense, big head was the main point of his design, and other artist used it as a way to distinguish ultimate one.

But seeing regular waist cut is disappointing.

What Hasbro showed us for ML so far is garbage. The best showing was Mattel's DC figures.
