  2. If you missed out on beast at retail, he is up at SuperVtoys.com. In the Marvel Legends down menu under Caliban wave.
  3. Marvel TV and HULU unveiled casting today for "Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.," their previously announced animated series based on the popular Marvel comic book. Slated for debut in 2020, "Marvel's M.O.D.O.K." signals Marvel's first endeavor into animated comedy geared towards adults. In "Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.," the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Patton Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth's mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.'s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis! Patton Oswalt ("A.P. Bio," "Veep," "Happy") as M.O.D.O.K. - After being ousted from both his evil organization and his family, super villain M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) must reinvent himself if he ever wants the chance to win back the things in his life that are most important... outside of conquering the world that is. M.O.D.O.K. is about to find out that super heroes are nothing compared to his newest challenge... a midlife crisis. Aimee Garcia ("Lucifer," "El Chicano," "Dexter") as Jodie - Jodie, M.O.D.O.K.'s wife and mother to his children, has had a late-in-life awakening -- excited to pursue her mommy-blog turned lifestyle-brand empire and discover who she is as an independent woman in her forties. There are just too many things to do in this world and not enough time to waste being held back by negativity. And unfortunately for M.O.D.O.K., the thing weighing her down the most... is him. Ben Schwartz ("Parks and Recreation," "House of Lies") as Lou - To be honest, M.O.D.O.K. doesn't really "get" his twelve-year-old son Lou. Not athletic enough to be a jock. Not smart enough to be a nerd. Lou is... well, Lou -- a kid who clearly marches to the beat of his own drum. Lou's lack of friends, ambition and hygiene is a constant worry for M.O.D.O.K., who often projects his own insecurities onto his overly confident son. Melissa Fumero ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") as Melissa - Even with her father's "features," seventeen-year-old Melissa has risen the ranks to become the Heathers-like queen bee of her school and a star in the world of teen figure skating. Every popular kid either wants to date her or avoid her terrifying wrath. But for all of her success, Melissa secretly yearns for her father's approval. Wendi McLendon-Covey ("The Goldbergs," "Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar") as Monica Rappaccini - Monica is a brilliant mad-scientist at A.I.M. and M.O.D.O.K.'s rival at work. Clearly more competent and qualified than M.O.D.O.K., Monica believes she should be running the organization. After GRUMBL acquires A.I.M., Monica relishes in M.O.D.O.K.'s suffering until the new management begins to infringe on her ungodly experiments. With a common enemy in Austin, M.O.D.O.K. and Monica are finally able to put aside their differences and work together... when they aren't constantly betraying each other. Beck Bennet ("Saturday Night Live," "Bill & Ted Face The Music") as Austin Van Der Sleet - After M.O.D.O.K.'s evil organization A.I.M. is run into the ground, he's forced to sell it to silicon valley tech-giant GRUMBL. GRUMBL sends slick, twenty-something Austin as a "post-merger-integration-consultant" and M.O.D.O.K.'s new boss. Though M.O.D.O.K. wishes he could just zap Austin to the Negative Zone, M.O.D.O.K. must find new solutions to confront Austin's corporate jargon-speak and frequent mandatory HR meetings, if he's ever going to reclaim A.I.M. from Austin's grip. Jon Daly ("The Kroll Show," "Curb Your Enthusiasm") as Super Adaptoid - A snarky android with ambitions to live, feel and create, but is instead forced to spend his days massaging the hoverchair sores on his creator M.O.D.O.K.'s scalp. Although the Adaptoid dreams of overwriting his programming and turning on M.O.D.O.K., there is also a begrudging friendship between these two. Sam Richardson ("Veep," "Ghost Draft") as Gary - Gary is a henchman or "beekeeper" at A.I.M. who is fiercely loyal to his boss M.O.D.O.K., even if M.O.D.O.K. struggles to remember his name. As M.O.D.O.K. continues to get demoted within his own organization, Gary is there by his side, always offering his help and unshakeable optimism whether M.O.D.O.K. wants it or not. "I'm blown away by our insanely talented and hilarious voice cast, who have all brought their specific kind of magic to this weird and wonderful corner of the Marvel Universe," said series Executive Producer and Showrunner Jordan Blum. "Patton and Jordan have done a phenomenal job in laying the groundwork for this exceptional ensemble, we're thrilled to include this cast in the Marvel family," said Karim Zreik, SVP, Original Programming & Production - Marvel TV Studios.

  6. ABC is starting to shop around for another superhero series after Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to finish after its upcoming seventh season and the broadcast network is in talks again with Marvel. ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke told Deadline that she was looking forward to working with Marvel Studios President and Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige, but said that they had not discussed which particular characters would be suitable for a broadcast show. “We love our partners at Marvel and we’re sad to see [Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D] go, it’s been a big part of our history. We’re looking forward to working with Kevin Feige and we’re at the very beginning of conversations with him now about what a Marvel and ABC show might look like. Right now, Marvel’s focus has been on Disney+, as it should be,” Burke told Deadline at the Winter TCA Press Tour. ABC was developing a new series with a Marvel female superhero, but those plans stalled. Slater is credited for developing and writing the Netflix’s comic book adaptation Umbrella Academy series. This announcement comes after the news of Jessica Gao has been hired to develop and lead the writing team on She-Hulk, which is also a series from Marvel Studios for the Disney+ streaming service. Moon Knight is one of Marvel’s less clearly-defined characters, having had numerous series, mostly short-lived, and several origins, some with superpowers, some with none, since his first appearance in 1975’s Werewolf by Night #32. The hero is ostensibly Marc Spector, a mercenary who has numerous alter egos — cabbie Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant — in order to better fight the criminal underworld. But later he was established as being a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Most recently, he was a consultant who dresses in all-white and goes by the name Mr. Knight. This comes five months after the end of the second season and sources are reporting that options on the cast expired this week. The drama series debuted strong in 2018 and earned a second season renewal but soon afterwards, the series' ratings dropped almost -40% and never bounced back. “We are so proud of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and the trailblazing stories this series told,” Freeform told Deadline. “We are also grateful to our incredible talent Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph for bringing these beloved characters to life, and showrunner Joe Pokaski for his vision. Deadline spoke with a Sony spokesman who declined comment, citing the early-days status of the project, which won’t begin principle photography until early next year. The character of Shriek would be a smart choice as the sonic-powered accomplice and romantic interest of serial killer Cletus Kasaday, aka Carnage, the monstrous archenemy of Venom has a standing history in the pages of Marvel Comics. A drug dealer named Frances Barrison became the volatile Shriek after severe trauma allow her latent mutant powers to emerge. In the comics, those powers include sonic energy blasts, flight, and the ability to stir up dark and violent emotions in others. Carnage has been primary villain for the Venom sequel since a mid-credits preview scene that featured the uncredited Woody Harrelson as the menacing Kasaday from the first film. Shriek has been closely associated with Carnage since her introduction in Spider-Man Unlimited No. 1 (May 1993) as part of the "Maximum Carnage" saga. Casting is underway for the role of Shriek with the search expanding. “Right now the role is not filled, the net is cast wide toward many kinds of actresses,” one source said, adding that the filmmakers are “looking mostly at unknowns right now.” Venom 2 is schedule to hit theaters on October 2nd, 2020

The series will mark Marvel's first foray into terror and is slated for debut in 2020. In his battle against a hidden world, Daimon is determined to root out demons as they arise, and will not stop until they're vanquished. Sydney Lemmon ("Succession" "Fear of The Walking Dead") as Ana Helstrom - By day, Ana runs a successful auction house and suffers no fools, but her true interest lies in hunting down those who hurt others. Traumatized by her father as a child, Ana is driven to rid the world of those like him, even as she secretly worries her father will return. Elizabeth Marvel ("Homeland," "The Meyerowitz Stories") as Victoria Helstrom - Plagued by demons both real and imagined, Victoria has been institutionalized for twenty years. While she struggles to be herself, she hopes to repair her relationship with her children. Robert Wisdom ("Ballers," "Watchmen") as Caretaker - Caretaker is a guardian of knowledge of the occult. Marvel's Helstrom is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios, part of Disney Television Studios.
  22. Have you ever met anyone, of any age, who inspired you to do better, be better, and strive for a better future? Finding young people who have made their own steps and forged their own paths towards the greater good was the first mission of Marvel's Hero Project -- the next mission was to give these real-life heroes the recognition and celebration they deserved. In Marvel's Hero Project, a new series streaming exclusively on Disney+ when it arrives on November 12, several extraordinary, inspiring kids got their time in the Super Hero spotlight for the work they've done in their communities across the country. Their causes are as diverse as they are, and on Marvel's Hero Project, Marvel comic editors found a way to tell their stories. In every episode, each outstanding kid will be surprised to find out that they've been immortalized in a Marvel Comic -- which will be available for free in Marvel Unlimited and the Marvel Digital Comics Store! -- as a brand new Super Hero, putting them among the ranks of the Marvel heroes they love. Marvel's Hero Project set out to prove that it doesn't take an iron suit, super strength, or a mythical hammer to be a hero -- just seeing a problem and having the passion to solve it in a creative way is what made these kids heroes. And now you will be able to see their stories and be inspired by them. Marvel's Hero Project premieres on November 12, streaming exclusively on Disney+. Pre-order it now on DisneyPlus.com.
  23. Deadline has confirmed that Hulu has decided not to proceed with Marvel's Ghost Rider, its planned live-action series starring Gabriel Luna. In May, Hulu picked up two new live-action series from Disney sibling Marvel Television, Ghost Rider and Helstrom, to premiere in 2020. It would appear that Hulu and the Ghost Rider team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series. Marvel’s Helstrom is still on track. Stephen Lightfoot serves as showrunner and executive producer with Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb for Marvel’s Ghost Rider. It is unclear whether the series will be shopped elsewhere. Luna played the antihero Ghost Rider when the character also known as Robbie Reyes was brought back to the Marvel Universe in 2016 on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Ghost Rider is consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. Reyes lives on the Texas-Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields.
