BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome! Very very bittersweet too though; a very dear friend of mine, who used to post here as 'TheArrow' passed away last December. This figure was tops on our bucket lists, and we used to gush about it all the time for how good it would look with the completed Alpha Flight team. Hope you're smiling down from Heaven ol' buddy! Psylocke is a work of art, pitch perfect and Marinna, also perfect. Looks just like the photoshop bash I made a few years ago. I'm really digging that Punisher though man...I think I'm getting that.3 points

Quite literally Marrina and Box in this wave to complete Alpha Flight. Saw a video a while back that Hepzibah and Raza are in the works but who knows3 points

I also really like the mash-up waves...so many great choices!! I loved the Byrne era ALPHA FLIGHT! So incredibly good! I'm curious if a new Wildchild, Talisman and Diamond Lil are coming eventually?? Id also like to see the alternate costume and hair cut Aurora wore for awhile. I for one love the Box BAF...im wonderingif they will release it in Blue down the line.. I hope fans get the newer version they want eventually. I myself, am now hoping for a First appearance Psylocke to complete the post Mutant Massacre team before they hit the Outback. Speakung of rhe Outback team...I'm now hoping for a shirtless Colossus and Gateway eventually. They coukd go a little sitting Gateway with joints at the neck and shoulders and Id be fine with that.I would also like a Magneto from the time he was with the X-men briefly and a Phoenix costumed Rachel Summers. Good stuff all the way around and 3 off of my wish list!!!2 points

I feel like with this Marrina indeed we are now with the shoe in the door for Namorita in her classic look, easy peezy done, and would love to see it, I did like her Modern look but that was more her Kymaera look, which was fine, but also no, really would love to see them be cool and give us Namor supporting cast, Attuma, U-Man, Piranha & Orka, like come on when? Legends dudes really snub us on villains constantly. more over getting Namora, which too would be nice would be Llyra.2 points

So sorry for the loss of a friend and fellow board member. Hopefully you will display Box proudly in his honor.2 points

Hmmm, so potentially only 3 figures, yeah makes sense, seems to be the way they are doing New Movie MCU stuff, CABNW, D&W, Thunderbolts, I guess avoid spoilers, I got no interest for these myself, but I always like seeing new Legends, I wanna bet the Punisher will be MCU and just a wee bit different then the DD one, putting a single comic figure in there seems odd and an odd chance, Pale Green, I mean Gray Hulk...err whatever Hulk, probably a re-paint of Recent Red Hulk with a new head, Spider-Man oh isn't this just the same suit the final swing look, but darker less shiny colors? I think the most exciting things for people here might be the chances at some new MCU dudes, Scorp, Boomerang, Tanrantula, Tombstone, etc, they should just be doing a whole wave out the gate with a Hulk BAF...seems to write itself.1 point

Or there's the figures you want but never get around to, thinking that they'll be around, only for them to 'not be around' and then ending up tripple the price on ebay. Sigh...but yes, t'is part of the game, lol.1 point

Throw those BAF pieces on Ebay..someone needs them I assure you. Plus it might help with the cost of the figures.1 point

I agree...but the last few waves have dropped earlier than expected so heres to hoping the wait wont be so long.1 point

Glad to see Alpha Flight getting some love, about time! But I got to say the rivals are definitely not my cup of tea. These looks are way too cartoony and exaggerated. Frank looks like gears of war Frank ,and if you like this good for you, but the old man in me will never buy these.1 point

Same. Definitely some cool offerings, but I'll probably be passing on everything. Considering picking up the Venom/Jeff 2-pack...1 point

Im enjoying these "mash- up" waves Hasbro has been giving us lately. I Especially liked the two mini comic waves for the variety and this wave feels very much in the same vein. And BOX is a perfect BAF for this wave.. Hopefully Hasbro gets back to what made the best BAFS, namely deep dives. For the characters: U.S. Agent: i have a love / hate thing with this era of this team. The WCA was my favorite book at the time of its cancelation but Force Works was still very much my team, just with terrible costumes. I mean Agent, Scarlet Witch and Wonderman had some of the most phoned in suits I've ever seen. But... I did have the Toybiz 5" version that this Agent figure is updating. Not the biggest fan, and I cant belive Im saying i wish this had been the "Judge Dredd" inspired look Agent wore for a time. Marrina: one more Reserve Avenger off the list! And so cool to complete Alpha Flight ( along with BOX, and maybe if they ever make a Talisman figure.., I can call this team done) Reyes Ghost Rider: one more Avenger to add. Im not too torn up that we didnt get the car, it was cool (cough*overpriced*) but if im being honest, i had no where to display it. So Robbie gets added to my later Avengers lineup sans car. Dark Hawkeye: so glad they didnt just repaint an already made Hawkeye figure. The Dark Avengers are shaping up nicely. Psylocke: great suit from the only era I collected XMen regularly. Ill grab for my personal nostalgia. Lady Deadpool: only need for the BOX piece. But I suppose its a nice update. Ultimate Wolverine: is this guy from the most recent Ultimate rehash? Is this even Logan? Ill grab on clearance or sale BOX: amazing choice! Another version of a character that holds a special place for me as I was collecting Alpha Flight during this version. And I continue to be amazed with Hasbro’s engineering. Making a large, boxy character as articulated is a absolute feat... and something Hasbro is distancing themselves from the competition with how well designed their larger characters have become. Rival stuff is not for me. Hate the designs so easy pass1 point

Always felt the same when the Silver Centurion and Warmachine were colored white. I can see its white, but my mind "sees" them as shiny silver. Weird how THIS effect works for me lol1 point

While we are talking Namor, I agree with everything listed. We also need a King Namor astride his Hammerhead Shark! I will never stop advocating for a Steeds line! Black Knight, Valkyrie, Namor, Malekith, Western Ghost Rider, Nightmare, Hell go ahead and make the BC Ghost Rider with his Mammoth too.1 point

With her, they already have the base body for Namorita (iridescent green scale outfit)....love to see her in a wave with 70s Sub-Mariner. Maybe even Stingray (though I think the only way to do his outfit justice is with wired soft goods, and hasbo aint springing for that), Attuma, Namora, Triton (yeah they just did him, they can give him the cuffed boots and gauntlets next time around).1 point

Which I'm all for getting this US Agent, I'm a Fan of this look, but I think it was a missed opportunity that they didn't put him in an Retro Carded Iron Man wave, just because of this, I always thought he was a lock for a Retro Iron Man wave, along with the much desired Century.1 point

Yeah, that was disappointing to hear. Even the Haslab figure had a silver skull. Once in a while Dan says something that's incorrect. Here's hoping this was one of those times, and he'll correct himself on social media.1 point

I wasn't sure about Rivals personally. I am happy they are made for folks that want them. For me it's just the style of some Rivals figures looks off. Hulk especially with his huge body and tiny head. Moon Knight and Punisher look solid though. You could probably weave them into a comic display easy enough. I'll definitely pick up Spidey and Luna. Because like reploid Bill? I am a bit of a spider putz myself. Lady Deadpool is a definite for me. Dark Hawkeye is a maybe? Is he from the Cabal? I have the Cabal 3 pack and Dark Spidey (aiApec). Still need Daken and Dark Warbird. Venom and Jeff is a likely pickup. I do not have a comic Venom. (aside from Blue Venom). I do have the Spidey 2 Venom (All 11" of him). If there is one rivals character who would probably look at home anywhere? It's probably Venom. As good as the Blokees look? These will at least be in scale... Now as for Psylocke? I have the Psylocke I want with Gamerverse...but... I may pick up 2 of these. I have an idea... I wonder if this Psylocke may work for a Mantra custom... I already made an attempt... Also... Am I the only one seeing potential for a Poison Ivy custom? probably too small for McFarlane. Which now that I think about it...Maybe I could. just find another She Hulk and use her for a 7" Poison Ivy. Beats paying $200 for her on secondary market. Though rumor is that McFarlane will re-release her.1 point

OMG ! Box BAF and Marrina! Armored Psylocke! gaaaaaah! Box BAF like Wow. Okay here's my thoughts. BAF Wave. Well I have to get everyone regardless of my feels, because I must have BOX!!!!! US Agent - Honestly love Force Works US Agent, don't really think it's a must have, but I'm into it, this was a fav look for me as a kid, plus BAF piece Wolverine - I Don't know much about this look but it's amazing, I don't really think I need it though, it's a head scratcher, but no BAF Piece means, not much rush. Marrina - I Think we all know, this has been one of my most desired and constantly wept for figures in Marvel Legends, I must have my Alpha Flight!!!!!!, now I can finally shut up about her. Lady Deadpool - Sure it's better then the previous one, but if this didn't have a BAF peice I wouldn't care, it's not better enough, but it's going to be a buy because of the BAF Psylocke - OMG Psylocke, I've wanted this one, and it's Psylocke, it's a must have. Dark Avengers Hawkeye - I gotta say it's pretty cool, I'm into it, will buy for BAF most importantly. Ghost Rider Robbie - Umm heck yes! can't believe they are coughing up this failed Haslab figures, So into this, new character must have. Marvel Rivals Stuff - Honestly I don't do non comic, but I am a Moon Knight completist so I sorta gotta get this Moon Knight, and it looks ultra fantastic. Punisher - I'm good. Spider-Man & Luna Snow - I could give a shrug for Spider-Man, but I must have a Luna Snow, I've been asking for her since her inception, and I don't think we will get her any other way, so I'll just suck it up and get a Spider-man as well. Venom & Jeff - While I don't think this is a must have, I'm a pretty big fan of this Venom look, and I love Jefff, this is an extra cute Jeff, I'm probably going to get this since I'm a demi-Symbiote Compeletist, probably won't be able to resist. I actually emitted happy noises and OMGoooshes when Marrina was revealed and Box as a BAF, like I leaped out of my chair, Some very good stuff here.1 point

Right, *Cracks fingers* BAF wave Dark Hawkeye - Nice to have another to build that team. and in the right colors. Lady Deadpool - Nice to get an update Lady Deadpool with all the articulation someone like her needs. I knew it was on the original list but i wasn't sure if they were holding back for the MCU version Robbie Reyes!!!! - Yes. Yes. Yes. I cried tears when it was revealed as I was hugely disappointed we didn't have him already. Maddie next!!!!!!! Force Works US Agent - Nice. Now they have started building this team. This was also part of the original Iron Man toyline so it nice to get a modern update New Ultimate Wolverine - I really like the design of this figure and that alone carries it for me. I haven't read the story but I know of it. Logan meets Winter Soldier. I predict Spidey in the next Spidey wave Outback Psylocke!!! - YES!!!!! our first ever Caucasian Betsy believe it or not. Marrina!!!! - Second reveal of the wave. IN her classic suit. BOX - The original Box. The Original design...... best reveal of the line. I won't say much about the Rivals line as they look great. I will only be getting the Luna set for her and skipping the rest. I doubt we will ever get her in her comic gear. The tease, I think is the hypnotic effect for Mesmero1 point
-
I previously stated that instead of speculating what I think might be on the reveals, I'll go for what WON'T be revealed -" Raza, Hepzibah, Starhawk, Charlie 27, Vance Astro or Martinex...in fact NO one to complete any of the teams that have been started and stalled". LMFAO 🤣1 point

Im a huge Original Psylocke fan..the Mutant Massacre and the following stories really shook things up for me. Betsy was a complicated character and seemed to really be the heart of that team. Wanting to be perceived as more than the proper British heroine. ( i did love me some Ninja Psylocke when she was handled by Lee & Claremont) The "puffy sleeve" look is her first appearance as one of the X-men ...so maybe this is another First appearance/little comics wave? However, I would love to see a 3 figure pack with the rest of the Outback team (Colossus,Betsy and possibly Gateway) I would also love a Mauraders set with at least Arclight,Greycrow and Harpoon please! I love wishlists!!1 point
-
I hope the whole wave and baf are rivals figures then, cause I have no interest in rivals figures, except maybe Moon Knight. I hope I don't have to buy a bunch of, or any really, video game figures to build Box. That would be a nightmare.1 point
-
We went from no punisher figure to barely any to now at least three in one year.1 point
-
Exactly! And also the yellow/golden color on their uniform.1 point
-
While I appreciate Marinna, what I really want is a Madison Jeffries Box for my Alpha Flight lineup.1 point
-
In case People aren't aware, these costume are JayC's guesses. They would be any design. For example Psylocke could be her X-men costume, Armor, Ninja, Extreme, Captain Britain etc. Until it is confirm don't assume the image used are the ones coming...................................... But wish away because I want classic Psylocke as well.1 point
-
FINALLY...Betsy Braddock gets some ML love! Not the costume im hoping for but Ill take what I can get. Now for some Maurauders and more Imperial guard!1 point
-
Marrina and Robbie would be instant buys. I don't really have much interest in the rest. There are some that believe the BAF is going to be Box since Dwight had said that we'd get a BAF this year that would be considered a team completer. If it is Box, then I'll have to buy the whole wave - otherwise it's probably just Marrina, Robbie and Ultimate Wolverine for me. From the rumored Rivals wave, I'd likely only want Luna Snow and am not at all happy that I'll likely have to buy another Spider-Man to get her.1 point
-
Would kinda laugh if Jeff ended up being the BAF.1 point

They can pull from the Muse (pants) figure, Nick Fury/Punisher 2 pack (boots), Jubilee's visor/sunglasses (tint them green of course) and toss on that soft goods field jacket with the teak wood bandolier....bob's your uncle1 point

Hey, my fellow Plastic Addicts. On Tuesday, I posted a character that we want to be made that has very little chance of being made. Today, I will be talking about a character that has us asking "HOW THE HELL HASN'T THIS BEEN MADE YET?!!!" And yes, I meant to put that sentence in bold capital letters. Today we talk about probably Dr. Strange's greatest enemy, second to probably only Dormammu, Baron Mordo. No. Seriously. Why don't we have this guy yet, with him being in two of the Dr. Strange movies? This would be like having a Cap with Red Skull, Hulk without Leader and Spider-man without Doc Ock. He would be out by now. Baron Mordo1 point

Not exactly haul haul but I got mafex Spidey heads, and with some surgery managed to put it on Maximum body, which imo works far better look wise, closer eyes and bigger head size really make this figure truly definitive for me.1 point

This kitty isn't bad, but more effort could have gone into her design. For instance, they could have used Mockingbird's legs, added new boots with properly sculpted yellow line, and sculpted the costume details onto the lower torso. On closer inspection, the upper and lower torso don't blend seamlessly due to that omission. Alternatively, if reusing parts was the goal, giving her Phoenix's lower torso with an ab crunch joint would have been a practical choice, especially for a character like Kitty. Colossus, in some ways, is the bigger disappointment. A ball joint in the lower torso, similar to what was used on the GamerVerse Wolverine could have significantly increased his value fun factor. As it stands, the combination of just a waist cut and an upper torso ball joint is borderline useless. It's also surprising that both the movie and Age of Apocalypse BAF versions of Colossus received double jointed elbows, yet this version does not. I really hope that in few years we can get true definitive classic Colossus that has well articulated torso and double joints in arms.1 point
