  1. I preferred JR Jr's. earlier stuff when he was first working on ASM. It looked a little like his father's style but was still different enough to be his own thing. I'm not too wild about what his artwork has evolved into. It's very recognizable, but a little too 'distinctive'' for my tastes. Everything looks a bit flat for some reason, and he makes some odd choices like drawing Spidey's head kind of square looking. I still like his work a lot, just not quite as much as I did when he first started out. Wish he'd stuck with his more traditional style.
  2. I'll be interested in any wave that focuses on comic Spider-Man. So I'd definitely be down for any 60th Anniversary figures. Hopefully Hasbro will offer up some characters that have never had a Marvel Legends figure before (or at least not a good one). Any classic villains or supporting characters would be most welcome.
  3. Hmm, looks like a good time to start weighing in on some topics around here. I can think of a least a hundred reasons to do so. There's a ton of new figures coming out so it shouldn't too be difficult to find something to talk about.
  4. I'm really only interested in picking up Shang-Chi from this wave, so I don't much care what the BAF is. That Vulture doesn't look as good as the old ToyBiz figure to me (at least in the pictures), so he's probably a pass as well.
  5. That Cap looks like it's his more comic-book inspired costume from the original Avengers movie.
  6. It's funny, the first time I ever saw footage from the PS4 Spider-Man game I hated this costume, but after playing the game, it's now one of my favorite looks for Spidey. The suit really grew on me, and I love the GameStop Exclusive ML figure. This Hot Toy looks totally awesome, but it's a bit out of my price range. Fun to look at though.
  7. Would have been nice to get her in her classic John Byrne White Queen costume. Not familiar with this look, so I'll probably pass. She kind of looks like Magik's mother or something.
  8. I am a big fan (and user) of Extreme Sets, and this looks similar. I like elements of it but it doesn't really work for me as a whole piece. You need to get in pretty tight with the camera for it to work. Also, it's a bit expensive. I do like the way it folds up though.
  9. Looks like Nighthawk is the only figure I plan to pick up from this wave. But it's one that really really want. NH has been on my Top 10 want list for years.
  10. Probably the best reveals I have personally ever seen at any event. I want almost every single comic figure they showed. It's like Hasbro decided to go ahead and fill out my entire Top 20 Most Wanted list this year. Thanks Hasbro!!
  11. Hasbro has been really kicking serious butt lately with their Legends figures. Would be happy to win either one of these waves. Good luck to all.
  12. Got my latest action figure up on my site. http://www.billscomics.com/xmen-comics.html X-Force Wolverine is on a mission to save an unknown mutant that has been kidnapped and is being used for experimentation. Who is the evil mastermind behind it all? Who is the mutant that's been abducted? And will Logan succeed in saving him? What do you think, bub? Here's the cover.
  13. I'd like to see a First Appearance X-Men with Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast in their original yellow and blue/black costumes. And Iceman looking all lumpy and snowy like he originally did.
  14. My number one want is a new classic red Daredevil. The new Black Panther body would be a perfect base to start from.
  15. I'm a lot like Shokker. I sell off a lot of stuff that I don't need. For example I had several different versions of Daredevil in his red costume, and so I picked my favorite two versions, and sold off all the others. Same with Wolverine, Spider-Man, etc. I find there's no reason to have 5 different styles of figures of the same character. And I only buy the characters that I really want from the new stuff when it eventually comes out. For example - I'D REALLY LIKE TO COMPLETE THE WRECKING CREW!
  16. I'd go for the Hasbro version. The ToyBiz version looks pretty cool, but the joints can end up being really loose, while the Hasbro version doesn't have that problem because it has the newer ratcheted joints. You wouldn't want to pay through the nose for a figure and then have it falling over all the time.
  17. No problem Big Bear, hope you like it. BTW, I also have a new Batman Christmas Special a little further down the page under the "Batman" section. Check it out. Happy Holidays!!
  18. I don't get as bored with my figures as much as others do because I and don't just leave them sitting on the shelf. I actually use them for creating comic books. So I'll maintain my collection and keep adding to it as long as I still like making action figure comics, and as long as they keep making new classic characters that I don't have.
